Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life

Chapter 1238

Pharmacy Hall.

Corbyn had Jacob and Carly head out to pick up some medicine while he led Flora upstairs to the third floor.

"Flora, I've got to apologize for what happened today. I should've kept a better watch over the folks in my hall."

Though his words were polite, Flora took him at face value and replied, "Well, maybe you should be stricter with them next time."

Her candidness made Corbyn chuckle. "Alright, alright, I'll keep them in line."

As he spoke, Corbyn pulled out a vial of medicine he had previously bought from Flora at an underground market. "Flora, did you make this yourself? I've been studying it, but something seems off."

He handed her his notes and the pills he crafted based on her original recipe. In the world of academics, age is just a number, and he felt no shame in seeking her insights.

Flora took a good look at the notes and raised an eyebrow. No doubt about it, he was indeed the head of Pharmacy Hall. He had detailed every ingredient, and the pills he made were nearly identical to hers, perhaps even more effective.

Considering the advanced equipment she used to make hers, it was impressive. The Martial World was a bit behind Austenberg when it came to technology, especially medical equipment. Yet, Corbyn managed to produce these pills with what could only be described as primitive tools.

"Corbyn, you've got quite the knack for this. Your pills are better than mine," Flora smiled, grabbing a pen from the table. "But I think there are a few tweaks you could make."

She marked a few spots on his notes. Corbyn listened closely, having a series of lightbulb moments as he watched Flora with newfound admiration.

Even after she finished speaking, he was still mulling over her words. This girl was something else. At his level, it was rare for anyone to point out his mistakes and discuss medicine with him like she did.

"Flora, if you hadn't shared so much with me just now, I would've asked you to be my apprentice."

Flora turned to him, surprised. An apprentice? All rights © NôvelDrama.Org.

"But I've had a change of heart," Corbyn continued, his tone shifting. "I think we're more like friends who don't bother with age."

Flora was a bit taken aback. What was he getting at?

"Flora, how about this?" Corbyn said,

rubbing his hands together with excitement... "Don't call me Corbyn anymore call me 'brother.' Consider Pharmacy Hall your second home. Drop by often, keep me company, and let's dive into some medical discussions."

Flora was speechless for a moment. Did people in the Martial World always skip the formalities like this? Corbyn was old enough to be her

grandfather, and now he wanted her

to call him... brother?!

In the Martial World, folks who practiced ancient martial arts often lived much longer, sometimes even a couple of centuries, so age wasn't really a big deal for them. "What do you say?" Corbyn asked, eyes full of hope.

Flora cleared her throat and nodded. "Alright, brother."

The word rolled off her tongue more

easily than she'd expected. Her

conversation with Corbyn had been enlightening. He was incredibly talented, and regular chats with him would definitely be beneficiab

Plus, Corbyn was a golden opportunity she couldn't pass up. She'd be foolish not to seize it.

Corbyn beamed, "Ah, sis!"

Seeing him, with his silver hair, call her sister almost made Flora choke on her own spit. Yeah, there was still a bit of an adjustment period.

Corbyn, having gained a sister, was thrilled and showered Flora with gifts. Carly and Jacob weren't left out either; they also scored some cool stuff. The trio spent over three hours at Pharmacy Hall, leaving with their goodies fully packed.

The Roth Family.

"Tara, give this a taste. Your uncle made it himself."
