Caught Between My Mate And A Demon

Phenomenon

The human world experienced a similar phenomenon to 5 years ago, but this time, it lasted longer.

The sky rumbled, shaking the heart of everyone. Lighting streak through the sky as if something was forcefully trying to tear through its surface.

It was nighttime, but the constant lightning illuminated the land one moment, going dark the next, m4aking it a light show.

A dangerous one.

People panicked as an unknown fear struck their hearts, and within a few minutes of this phenomenon, the streets of the city were empty.

Birds vacate the sky, hiding in a safer spot, while the stray cats and dogs seek shelter at every corner available.

Every being felt their heart unsettled as if horror was about to strike them down.

The same feeling that they had felt 5 years before, which no one managed to find a reason for.

Infants cried uncontrollably, making the panic of the family with children intensified.

Some had even tried to make calls to the police department for some assurance that the world wasn’t coming to an end.

That action had only resulted in their phone being fried as electricity sparked from it.

This phenomenon lasted for 5 minutes before everything went quiet.

Just like 5 years ago, everything returned to normal. Electricity was no longer posing a risk to people who made contact with it.

The sky was calm, but the opposite was happening on the Internet, as well as every police department in the city.

People would have understood if rain fell after all that occurrence, but nothing of the sort happened.

Moreover, it’s summer.

The phenomenon had struck deep fear in everyone’s heart, hence leading them to crave an explanation. Something to make their worries ease.

But some rational citizens didn’t bother to disturb the authorities, as they were sure the issue would be passed off, just like the one from 5 years ago.

….

Meanwhile, at Nima’s home.

She and Emily were at her balcony when the phenomenon happened.

Thundering of the sky without rain falling.

Lightning

While Nima panicked, Emily couldn’t tear her gaze away from the sky.

Although she hadn’t witnessed what had happened when she and Nima descended to the human realm years ago, word of it spread, and it matches what she was witnessing.

Fear suddenly gripped her heart.

It couldn’t be, could it?

The witch wouldn’t help her come find love and still help Gama find her, right?

She hoped not.

Gama is a dear person to her, but he’s someone who should be feared.

She decided to remain more dormant than active whenever she was away from Nima.

If what she feared were to be true, Gama could find Nima through her, which could ruin the whole purpose of coming to the human realm.

….

Meanwhile, at a more advanced side of the city, where the influential figures and superstars chose to live, a group of people were on their way home when the phenomenon happened.

One of the A lister actors in the city was on his way home with his manager and 2 assistants when it began.

They had immediately parked their car beside the road and switched off its engine, afraid to make it a beacon for explosion.

When the lighting intensified, fear had made their brain go into overdrive.

“It looks so focused on our position. We need to leave the vehicle. It could still get struck!” A young man in his early twenties suddenly spoke up.

He was one of the A lister’s assistants.

Chris Craft is a handsome man in his early thirty with light brown eyes and jet black hair. Tall and well toned, with muscles in all the right places.

Chris is the A lister in the car.

His eyes showed weariness, as he wasn’t immune to the widespread fear that everyone had experienced.

Feeling that what his assistant said was true, he gave his consent, and they opened the door to step out.

As soon as he did, a bolt of lightning had suddenly struck from the sky, hitting Chris in his chest.

His body spasm for a few seconds before he dropped to the floor unconscious.

His manager, an older man in his late forties, screamed in fright as he threw caution to the window and came out to help Chris.

To their surprise, he looked completely fine if the fact that he had passed out was left out.

Another thing was how the whole thundering and rumbling of the sky had retracted after the lighting had struck Chris.

People could breathe properly again, while Chris’s crew rushed him to the hospital.
