Her dark desires
“Gosh!” Nima exclaimed as the memory of her conversation with Joel surfaced in her memory.
She wondered if she was being too forward, but can she help it?
She felt so attracted to Joel to the point that she couldn’t explain it. The moment she gave in and had decided to meet with him, her mind kept drifting to him every now and then.
They had picked a date for the dinner date, which had gotten her panicked at first, but Emily had helped her to get over her anxiety.
She only has to focus on the man she’s meeting.
She was currently sitting on her balcony, a small table placed before her, a glass of wine, and a bottle that still holds over half of its content beside it.
A novel could also be seen at the edge of the table.
She has been trying to read but couldn’t concentrate. The novel happened to be a dark romance, which just fueled her desires and imaginations.
It got difficult to concentrate on the plot without substituting the events with her imagination of moments with the man she barely knew.
“For God sake! This man could be a creep…. I mean, he acted like one at first. Nima, what have you done to yourself?.” She mumbled to herself, yet she couldn’t help her curious heart that wishes to experience
To experience a lot.
Nima heard the sound of her door rings and stood up.
She was in blue and white polka dot pyjamas, as it was time for bed.
Already knowing who the visitor was, she smiled before opening the door to reveal Emily.
“Hi babe.” Emily greeted, stepping in and giving Nima a hug.
“You’re late.” Nima said, and Emily explained that traffic held her back.
“That’s unusual.” Nima said with raised brows.
“Okay, you caught me. I had a dinner date with one of my colleagues. A new hot one at that.” Emily lied.
Nima gave a knowing look. “Naughty.” She commented.
“It couldn’t be helped. Dude hot as fuck.” Emily sulked in a deep breath, her gaze dreamy.
“I get it. Go and freshen up and join me on the balcony.” Nima walked off after saying this, but Emily called out.
“Anything on Joel?” She asked.
Nima’s heart skipped a bit.
“You called his name with such familiarity. Hmm, don’t tell me this is a set up from you, Em. I swear to God if it turns out you know about him and let me panic about how realistic his interest in me was, I’m going to murder your ass.” Nima jokes.
Emily chuckled at her statement.
“Nothing of the sort. I was just curious.” Emily replied.
“Alright, we haven’t talked since yesterday’s conversation. He said he will fill me in on the location and timing of our dinner date.” Nima said.NôvelDrama.Org exclusive content.
“He didn’t offer to come pick you?” Emily asked.
Nima clicked her tongue in distaste for the idea.
“I need to know the kind of person he is first. Can’t risk him finding my address and stalking me after I dropped his ass.”
Emily frowned.
She looked like she wanted to say something, but soon excused herself.
This action confused Nima.
She wondered why her friend was suddenly acting odd, after Joel made his existence in her life.
She felt it to be so unusual, but then shook her mind off it.
Emily had decided to sleep over at Nima’s for the night. She had lied about traffic earlier, and then changed it to having a dinner date with a colleague.
The truth was that she has been trying to control herself.
She is Nima’s demon. Her powers, her urges, her darkest desires.
What she wanted more than ever was to be one with Nima and mate with Joel. To be together with him, but as strong as the emotions were, it was tamed by the idea that Nima would be banished from the human realm to the demon world once they merged.
This simply means they would lose him.
She could not let that happen.
This made Emily give control of the body she was occupying to the owner.
She had to escape her urges.
The host Emily occupied her body and has been in control of her body since the day breaks.
Nima’s demon had locked herself in the subconscious state of her host.
When she finally took over, it was late.
The host planned to sleep at the office, but Emily had a different plan. She needs to make sure Nima keeps thinking about Joel and not back out.
They need to be together.
She was upset at Nima for rejecting Joel’s idea to pick her up, but if she had pushed it, Nima being a sensitive individual, would get riled up and start speculating.
The last thing Emily wanted was to mistakenly jeopardize the progress of their relationship.
