A ding rang, indicating that Althea already arrived.

She raised her head and looked at the opening door of the elevator. No one was with her in the elevator, so she fluidly went out from the elevator shaft.

After stepping out, she was blinded by the lights of the massive room of the hotel. She almost squinted her eyes.

Soft and small murmurs entered her ears. There was also clanging of plates and glasses. Althea surveyed the area and noticed that the place wasn't crowded as she thought it would be.

Maybe only selected once are welcome here, Althea shrugged the thought.

An attendant approached her with a polite smile, "May I see your invitation ma'am?"

Althea halted and opened her purse then habded the invitation to her. The attendant looked at it briefly before showing another smile, "Thank you. Please have a pleasant evening."

Althea watched her walled away and attend the other guest. No one noticed her arrival since none of these people know her face, all of them were busy entertaining the bigger fishes. She relaxed a little.

Listening to the melow music that was playing in the air, Althea walked towards the table of drinks.

The party is pretty much the same to the ones she attended so far. But since she doesn't have the interest to mingle and talk with the other people, she, as usual, sits or stand near the corner where no

one will set their eyes on.

Not that these old people will look at her in the first place. Even without talking with them, she can prerty much guess that all of them are hungry with money and connection. And, who was Althea?

She's no one.

She picked up a glass of red wine and out of hobby whenever her mind is wandering, she started to stir it slowly before putting it near to her lips.

"Hi there," someone she doesn't know said from behind. Judging from it's raspy voice, it's a man.

Althea, who was about to enjoy her glass of wine, paused for a second before proceeding to act like she wasn't there.

I'm invisible, go away please.

And, like how it always goes, her prayers were left unanswered. The man still approached her even even stood by her side, grinning like an idiot he was.

Yes, sure, Althea is no one when it comes to business world, but, have you ever forgotten that she once caught the heart of the most popular guy in their highschool?

They broke up though.

"Are you alone?" The man asked, looking at ger up and down. Even without looking at him, Althea can feel the lust he has for her.

She tried her best to not shudder in disgust. She stepped away, indicating that she's drawing a line and not interested with him.

But foolish people are naturally foolish.

"Why are you stepping away?" He was at least 10 years older than her. He was round as a ball, obviously getting fat from his wealth."Don't to you want to have fun with me? I've book a room in this hotel."

He flashed a smile, and the golden tooth he has in front blinded her. Althea almsot spat out the red liquid she drank.

A waste of money! Total waste of money! Who could have thought that she'll meet someone this stupid in life? She thought these people only exists in movies!

Who melts gold just to shape it like a tooth and stuff it inside your gums then align it with your white ones?

Althea was shocked beyond belief so she didn't see him approaching her and waa ready to grope something on her with his big fat hand.

"Hold it," suddenly, a low threatening voice rang near the two. Althea was slapped awake by the familiar voice while the man, also knowing who's voice it was, stopped midway and started to sweat really hard. "What do think you're doing?"

Althea turned to see the green eyed human she never saw for days. She almost laughed when she saw what kind of expression that person was carrying.

"Ah- ah!" The man took back his hand and stepped away from her like jis feet was on fire. "No- nothing. Don't misunderstand. I-I know her. Right?"

He turned to Althea and tried to threaten her with his wide eyes but Althea just looked away and continued drinking her wine.

He tried to smile but the person didn't bought it. A pair of green eyes shifted to look at Althea. She shook her head gently, then the cold green eyes shifted back to the faltering smile of the golden tooth man.

"Honestly Mr. Choo, I'm disappointed." The person who bears the one of the rarest eye color of the world said slowly. "If only you didn't lie, I could have considered the proposal you made."

"Wha-" The perverted guy, who's named Mr. Choo, was shaken to the core. His already bulging eyes bulged even more. "But-"

"No more buts, I don't talk to peope like you," the person showed disgust, cracking the cold face she wore. "Who knows how many poor ladies you have laid your dirty fat hands on. There's no way I would shake hands with you. Now, scram!"

The round man hurriedly got away with frustration on his face while the other two just watched him.

When he was finally out of sight, Althea let out a laugh. "Is that okay, Victoria? I think you lost one of your wealthiest business partner."

"One of the wealthiest huh?" Victoria snorted then grabbed a wine of glass. "Who cares, there are plenty fish in the sea. Besides, I didn't lose anything, rather, he lost me, so, ge lost something big, really, really big."

Althea remained silent about her self boasting. "Really? You don't mind at all?"

"Hmm." She waved her hand. "Nope, his company is getting bankrupt anyway. Corruption there is worst! I can't even think of why he still has the audacity to ppay around like that."

Althea laughed a little, her eyes wandering behind Victoria. The latter noticed it and showed a grin.

"Are you looking for him?"

Althea's face contorted, "Who? That son of yours? No."

Victoria laughed and smacked her. "Stupid Althea, did I say a name? I didn't!"

"..." Althea is now ready to die from embarrassment.

Victoria didn't care about her cause of death. She smacked her again, but now, with elegance since they have eyes looking at them.

Althea can't help but get amaze by her strong sense of making her public image beautiful.

"Don't worry dear, he's not here at the moment." She grinned. "Well, at least not in this party."

-

An elevator opened and two guys in suit exited from it. As soon as they stepped on the floor, their eyes begun to search for someone.

'She's not here,' the guy on the left thought. 'The other two isn't here either.'

"Hi Aaron, Dave!" A girl in sleeveless and backless dress approached them. "You both look stunning!"

Dave, the one from the right, smiled at her. "You look lovely as well." He paused before asking. "Are all of the students from your batch already here?"

"Hmm? Oh no, nlt yet. We're still waiting for someone."

"Who?" This time, it as Aaron who asked.

The woman was confused but she still answered them with a smile. "It's Sheryl."

"..." The two looked at each other before asking her again. "Just her?"

"... Well, not really, we're waiting for the others as well, but they said they're nor sure if they'll come or not... Why are you curious by the way? It's not that as if this is your batch in highschool!" She laughed.

Truly, it wasn't theirs but they were there since they got invited along with the others.

"Are you also expecting her?"

"Who?"

"Althea." Aaron answered.

The woman widen her eyes. "What are you talking about? Didn't she disappear years ago? We haven't even got any news from her!"

"I saw her," Dave said. "Earlier in the parking lot."

"..." She mused. "Maybe you mistaken her for somebody?"

"We all know that Dave has the sharpest mind in our batch right?" Aaron tried to help him. "There's no way he'll forget a face of someone who was with him for almost four years."

"She's wearing a party gown, so I thought she'll be here."

"... Then she's here? In the same hotel?" The woman said, "Then-"

The elevator opened and two familar figure went out. As soon as they entered, the other people looked at them and went to greet them.

It was Sheryl and Tyler.

The three watched them in silence until the lone woman talked. "Hey, you said she's wearing a party gown right? Since she's not here, there's only one place she's in."

"... Where?" Aaron asked.

"On the floor directly below us," The woman laughed. "So, who's ready for the show?"
