Unconscious Husband: Meet Her Love In Silence

Chapter 1792

A cold smile crept onto Moss’ Lips.

He proceeded to the lab and soon sensed that something was amiss.

The landline phone was gone.

Initially, Moss hadn’t been overly concerned about Melon’s disappearance.

After all, he had meticulously orchestrated the setup here, making it almost impossible for a child to escape.

But now… The phone was missing.

Perhaps the clever Little rascal had stolen it.

Anger flickered in Moss’ narrowed eyes.

He began searching for Melon, unexpectedly discovering the missing phone tucked deep under a table.

Without hesitation, he cut off the line.

Rising to his full height, he resumed his hunt for Melon.

Finally, he spotted the boy cowering beneath another table.

Melon’s bright eyes widened in shock, clearly not expecting to be found so quickly.

A thick silence hung in the air.

The atmosphere became awkward as Moss and Melon stared at each other in silence.

Melon, realizing the awkwardness, raised a small hand and forced a smile.

“Well, what a coincidence.

You’re here, too.”

Moss ignored the greeting, his tone sharp.

“You seem skilled at hiding.

Tell me, why are you here?”

Melon’s expression was a picture of innocence.

“I wanted to play hide and seek with you, of course.”

Unconvinced, Moss held up the phone.

“Did you move this?”

“No, I don’t know anything about this,” Melon replied, feigning ignorance.

If there had been a cat or a dog around, Melon’s excuse might have held water.

However, it was just the two of them in the lab.

If Moss hadn’t done it, who else could have used the landline but Melon?

The phone couldn’t hide itself under the table.

“Tell me the truth, or you’ll find out what happens when you cross me,” Moss warned, his expression darkening.

“Why are you being so harsh?” Melon pouted and then shot back with unshakable confidence, “I’m not even six years old.

How could I possibly lie?”

For a moment, Moss was at a loss for words.

Seizing the opportunity, Melon darted out from his hiding spot.

His keen eyes spotted the strawberries on the table.

Standing on tiptoe, he snatched one and put it in his mouth, not caring if it had been washed.

“Wow, it’s so sweet!” Melon’s eyes sparkled.novelbin

He turned to Moss with a grin.

“Thank you.

I really like strawberry.”

He even blew a few kisses at Moss, a stark contrast to his earlier demeanor.
