Let’s break up
{Now that he is here we can do a direct comparison. Your little boyfriend looks and feels nothing compared to the young master Mark. Look at his elegance and noble appearance, compared to the sloppy appearance of a boy who hasn’t seen the world. It’s a minus 10 out of 10}
Lily’s lips turned up in amusement as she heard the system compare the two males to one another. She had involuntarily done it the first time but seeing how the system is she noticed the ambiguity in her action and her face flushed in embarrassment.
Zach who had been looking at her got angry thinking she was blushing because she admired the other man like the rest of the girls trying to get his attention. A sneer appeared on his face and he gave her a condescending look, “Mr Watson will never go for someone like you, so don’t get your hopes up for nothing. You are way out of his league, you won’t even be worthy to clean his shoes,” he ridiculed, his voice filled with malice and mockery.
As the system heard his words he wished he already had a physical body so he could teach the idiot boy a lesson on behalf of the host. {How dare he talk to the host like this! He isn’t afraid of sudden death? Bringing him down will destroy all his confidence!}
Lily chuckled in joy and took the last sip of her milkshake. The commotion in the cafe had died down a little as the protagonist of the uproar had gone to sit in the farthest corner of the cafe with the beautiful lady who came with him.
As Lily gazed at the girl in front of Young Master Mark, she felt like she was looking at a fairy straight out of a fairytale. Her brown hair was silky and shone in the light, framing her oval face and accentuating her delicate features. Her knee-length floral dress made her look like a woodland nymph, and her gentle, serene temperament only added to the effect. It was as if she’d stepped out of a fantasy and into the real world, bringing with her a sense of otherworldly grace. She couldn’t help but think they were a match made in heaven and they fit each other perfectly.
If either of the two heard her thought they would be devastated that anyone would think of them as couples! Both were the opposite of a coin, only the outworld look was compatible, but other things were not!
The scoff from the person sitting in front of her brought her back to her situation and she sighed, “I didn’t know you’ve always seen me as a vain person and think I would go after every rich person I see. Is that why you slept with Merissa behind my back? Or the reason you kept giving me these ‘limited edition goods’? Or why you keep saying those bad things about me to your friends?” as she mentioned his crimes one after the other Zach gaped at her, unable to believe his ears.Têxt © NôvelDrama.Org.
Wasn’t she always so naive that she couldn’t see things happening around her?
Since when has she known about these things and kept them in her heart? ‘In the end isn’t she after my money? Why else would she stay after knowing?’ he thought to himself and sneered.
“What are you talking about?!” he snapped, pretending not to understand her words. Although he was jumping ship to Merissa, both of them still needed her help to remain top in their classes. Losing her now was bound to bring unwanted problems in the future. “How could you slander me like that! Merissa and I are nothing but partners, and we have just gotten to working together. Even if you are angry about it, you can’t slander Merissa like that after all she’s done for you!” he exclaimed with a raised voice attracting the people sitting around them.
Lily remained unfazed by his outburst, she brought out her phone from the small purse she had brought along and scrolled through it without glancing at him, when she found what she was looking for, she looked up at him, eyes her filled with coldness and contempt, “Let’s break up and never see each other again” she demanded and Zach scoffed feeling full of himself.
How could a pauper break up with him, a young master from a rich family? He couldn’t believe that Lily would just break up with him after all the ‘expensive’ gifts he had given to her. With this thought in mind, he had a condescending look on his face, “If all of this is because I didn’t come to check on you when you were sick, I already apologized. Do you have to take it this far?”
The idea that a girl of such humble origins could break up with him, a young master from a wealthy family, was unexplainable. He had given her so many ‘expensive’ gifts, how could she ever truly break up with him?
‘It’s a threat she could never break up with me?!’ With that thought in mind, his attitude became even more condescending.
With a haughty expression, he asked, “Is this really just because I didn’t come to visit you when you were sick? I’ve already apologised – do you really have to take it this far?” Lily’s eyes narrowed, her voice taking on a cold edge. “No, I could never be bothered with your presence in the first place, it wouldn’t change a thing whether you are there or not, you aren’t the doctor treating me,” she replied, startling Zach out of his wits. His face turned cold and he was about to reprimand her when she lifted the phone to his face with a smirk.
Zach paled and slumped back into the chair, his eyes filled with horror, as he stared at the image of him and Merissa in a compromising position, “I have more of this where it came from, I don’t want to see you around me again. We are over. I have wasted my time loving the wrong person all this time and I feel disgusted with myself. If you appear before me I will send this to the school platform and you know what that means, your career is over before it even began” she threatened and picked up her bag, gesturing for the waiter to come to take the money.
“I don’t need your charity of fake goods anymore. I was going to leave you for a while before dealing with you but I can’t take your bile-inducing attitude anymore. I will bring all your gifts to you, you can do whatever you want with them, scum!” Zach stayed frozen in his seat unable to wrap his head around how things had suddenly developed to this.
When has she become so cold and decisive? Dealing with people who offended her?
Has she always been like this or did this happen after her accident?
Did she find out the reason behind the accident and who plotted it? No way, she can’t find out!
He watched her retreating figure without daring to say a thing until she had left. His phone went off as he was about to breathe a sigh of relief only for his blood to run cold and he turned a shade paler than a dying person after checking the content of the message. It was a picture of Merissa pushing Lily down the stairs with an excited face. Attached to the picture is a short message that reads,
‘Tell her about it and you both can bid your social life goodbye!’
Zach’s soul trembled in fear as he read the content over and over again.
It was over! He is finally doomed!
If he had been a normal rich young master he wouldn’t have been so scared of a small threat from the likes of Lily, but his position at home wasn’t good and he is the least liked among his five brothers. If the news about his involvement in her accident got out his family would suppress it and pay compensation to keep the family name clean but the little advantage he had would be gone within the blink of an eye.
Who would have thought the gentle girl who allows others to walk over her like a pushover was a sleeping wolf that only needed a little push to bare her fangs?
‘I have to stay away from her!’
He got up to leave but saw Lily standing by the door with a worried expression, she turned to look at the corner where Young Master Mark was sitting with his guest just in time for the young lady to collapse with a red face.
“I’m not a doctor and I don’t have medicinal knowledge. How do you expect me to treat someone? I don’t even know what kind of allergic reaction she is having!” Lily argued as she saw the content of her new mission.
(Help Celina Williams treat her allergic reaction symptoms. Mission reward: 100 upgrade points. Mission prop: Healing serum 001)
{You just have to follow my instructions and apply the serum and she will be fine!}
“What serum? Did you forget the identity of the other person? If anything happens to his guest under my care I don’t have the power to go against their mighty group ah, don’t get me in trouble!” she argued.
Feeling pressured, the system let out an exasperated sigh {Are you not tempted by the reward point? With this, I can finally upgrade and you can unlock more system functions!} it urged hoping Lily would bite the bait.
“Your upgrade is not as important as my life and my revenge, don’t push me into hell!” Lily’s eyes dimmed as the reaction got worse and Mark was searching through the lady’s bag for her medication. His pursed lips and expressionless face gave nothing away about his thought.
Seeing he couldn’t find what he was looking for she sighed and began to walk forward, noting her change of mind the system jumped up in excitement and quickly told her the location of the serum.
{The serum is in your bag, all you have to do is slip three drops into her mouth and make her swallow it she will be fine!}
“You have lots of explanation to do about how I suddenly have healing serum in my bag!” a sweat broke out of the system’s invisible face and it disappeared into the back of her mind to come up with a believable excuse.
Lily walked closer and bent beside the lady, “I can help, she’s having an allergic reaction I can help you!” she voiced out and Mark glared at her.
“What do you want to do?” he demanded coldly. He had already called his driver and the other still had seven minutes to be there, which was a long time to keep Celina in that state.
“I have a serum-free that will help her lessen the effect before she’s taken to the hospital, I promise it’s harmless, I can take it to show you” she suggested Mark frowned before checking his watch to see they still had five minutes. He was about to agree when someone from the crowd scoffed.
“Are you trying to use your cheap things to curry with the young master Mark? How despicable!”
