Chapter 37: 37
Chapter 37: 37
For the time being, my thoughts have come from left and right. I do not know where to start, where to
end, where to place my mind at this moment. What has Elliot been up to? Who else has Elliot been
seeing? I know this letter came from a woman, like I said, the writing was soft. The strokes were
precise, the letters were written with passion. Elliot, has he been lying to me? Could it be possible that
this letter came from one of Elliot’s past? How could that happen? They’re not even here. I remain in
my position as I attempt to gather my thoughts. What did the note really mean? Did Elliot banish one of
his exes? How did she know that we were here? What does she need from Elliot? What does she want
from him? Elliot and I are just starting, why is this happening now? What have I gotten myself into?
Suddenly, there is a loud ring coming from the dinning area. It’s probably Elliot calling. I stand and take
the towel from the rack. I wrap it around my body and brisk to the dinning to answer my phone.
“Elliot?” I say his name NôvelDrama.Org owns all content.
“Why did it take you so long to answer?” he asks me
“Sorry, I was in the tub. What’s wrong?” I ask him, “Elliot, what is it?”
“Keep the note. There are police who are on their way right now. I’m coming home” he tells me.
“O-okay. Why did you involve the police again?”
He sighs, “Just because they need to get involved”
Elliot drops the call and I go back to bathroom to rinse off the suds. I step out of the cold shower and
get dressed from what’s left of the clean clothes. I wait for Elliot patiently and in less than thirty minutes,
Elliot comes. His face is pale, his hands cold and little moist, his eyes are filled with worry and
discomfort.
“Elliot” I say his name
“Eli, where’s there note?” he asks me. I look at him and blink a couple of times. I look at the room and
walks into the room. He emerges from the bedroom with the note. He places the not in front of me.
Elliot sighs and starts unbuttoning his shirt. He hovers over me, like waiting for something to happen to
the note, like, disappear or something similar. As Elliot was looking scared and confused, this led me to
believe that there must be a conversation between me and Elliot. There is something and someone he
is not speaking about. Elliot was just staring blankly at the note, absorbing nothing of all of this. “Elliot” I
say his name. There was no response. He was just staring, his arms crossed over his chest. “Elliot” I
say his name again. There was still no response.
“Eli” he says my name whilst looking at the note. “Was there anything else that came together with the
note?” he asked me. Still not making eye contact.
I shake my head, “No”
Elliot looks at me, “Eli, I have to tell you something”
