The Cherished Wife

Chapter 809

Noelle understood. That explained the stuffy feel of Mr. Fischer's place last time. It had felt like the walls were closing in.

"I'll skip the tour of Charles's turf. He can show you around himself next time. But I do want to show you my amazing room." Sean's smile was confident, like a vendor hyping up his fruit at the market. "Trust me, you guys are gonna love it."

Noelle, Teresa, and Rowena just stared, speechless.

Sean was not concerned with how they looked. The doors slid open as the elevator dinged at the eleventh floor, and Sean was the first to stride out. He propped the door with his hand, a perfect gentleman, and said, "After you, ladies!"

The room Sean had booked was tucked away at the end of the hallway. They passed by a group of burly bodyguards, who made the place feel more like a fortress than a party spot.

As they pushed open the door to the room, everyone inside took a brief pause. Charles was the quickest to snap out of it. Spotting Noelle, he beckoned with a grin. "Over here!"

Noelle could not help but light up, leaving Sean and her two pals in the dust as she dashed over to Charles. "Charles!"

He just nodded, oblivious to anyone else's feelings, and yanked Noelle into a tight bear hug. He squeezed her hand. "Why's it so chilly?"

Caught off guard, Noelle felt the weight of everyone's stares. She glanced down, her cheeks tinged pink. "Oh, it's nothing. I've just been outside for a bit too long." She wriggled her fingers free from Charles's grip. "With everyone watching..."

As she tried to stand up, Noelle found Charles's arm firmly around her waist, holding her in place. He challenged the room with a smirk. "I'm hugging my wife. Does anyone have a problem with that?"novelbin

The crowd secretly rolled their eyes at Charles's cocky charm but kept up the smiles. It was Peter who broke the silence. "Charles and his lady sure are lovey-dovey!"

"You know it!" Charles shot back with his trademark pride.

Noelle perched on Charles's lap as Sean cursed and teased, "Ditching your pals for each other, huh? You two are quite the pair." He glanced over at Teresa and Rowena. Come on in, ladies!"

Teresa and Rowena were just regular girls who had never rubbed elbows with the high and mighty, yet they were face-to-face with the fabled Four Young Masters of Brookville now.

They used to dream about just catching a side view or a silhouette

from a distance. When Noelle snagged Charles, they got to meet the legend in the flesh. As if that was not enough, they started to bump into Sean a lot, and then there was Peter and Steven too.

Rowena and Teresa felt like they were living in a fantasy world, and they were dazzled by the sheer spectacle.

Charles, a guy known for being an ice-cold, no-nonsense decision-maker, was snuggling up to his wife right now. It was too much to watch their PDA and show of love.

Meanwhile, the man in question was clueless, basking in the moment.

Feeling the heat of embarrassment, Noelle pinched Charles's arm. "Cut it out. Put me down!" She worried that if they kept this up, she would

become the target of everyone's

teasing. Thus, she made sure to hello to Steven, Peter, and Eloise with all the manners she could muster. "Mr. Fischer, Peter, Ms. Eloise."

Steven was the picture of composure despite his gaze being fixed on Noelle and Charles, who was behind her. He coughed lightly. "Charles, that's enough!"
