The Cherished Wife

Chapter 708

By the time Winter arrived, Ronald and the crew were already waiting. She had not taken the ride from Jane that morning to throw off any nosy paparazzi. Instead, she had Jane's driver make a show of leaving the Shaw residence with an empty car, making it look like Winter was inside. After a long detour through Brookville, by the time any snooping photographers figured out the ruse, Winter was already stepping into Royal Star Entertainment.

Winter walked into the meeting room with Jane, where Ronald had been waiting for a while.

Spotting Ronald, Winter strode over with a smile. "Mr. Wells, good morning!"

Ronald nodded and gestured for Winter to take a seat. "Ms. Shaw, it's been a while. Check this out!" He handed her a document.

Winter eyed the paper warily and unfolded it. Her eyes widened-it was the Saint Di endorsement contract. "Mr. Wells, you've got everything ready?" She could hardly believe it. After the mess she had been through, with Royal Star Entertainment abandoning her instead of rushing to her defense, she had almost lost hope.novelbin

Ronald watched her, hiding his smirk, though his face was all friendly smiles. "Mr. Hoffman had me prepare this contract right after the last annual meeting. It's a shame that a mess happened. Mr. Hoffman was livid, so we had to put it on ice for a while."

Winter's face lost some color as Ronald spoke. "Mr. Wells, you have to believe me. I didn't do what they're saying. I'm married, for heaven's sake. What good would it do me?" She was right-the silence had been because of the scandal.

However, Ronald was there with the contract and the promise of the second female lead role in Unchallenged Dominion. Could that mean she had cleared her name with Charles?

Ronald leaned in, his voice steady

and clear. "It's just how things are, or I wouldn't be here today. Take a look at the contract, Ms. Shaw. If

everything checks out, just sign on dotted line. We're set to start shooting the ad in the next few days. You seem a bit off today, though."

He tapped the desk, his face all business. "Saint Di is one of Collosus Group's top-shelf brands Mr. Hoffman's got his eye on this and so does Estodia(n). Sure, you're only the face for the Sino Nation market this time, but it's stift a sweet gig for you right now."

Ronald did not mince words. Winter was not thrilled to hear it, but she knew he was right. Her list of endorsements was not exactly long, and Saint Di was the crown jewel among them.

"You've got a point, Mr. Wells," Winter said, scanning the contract again. "Everything's in order. I'll get myself together in no time for the shoot. You and Mr. Hoffman won't be disappointed."

"Great!" Ronald gestured at the contract. "All set then, Ms. Shaw. Sign here, please! You might be with Royal Star Entertainment, but we're all part of the Collosus family. Still, we've got to do things by the book sometimes."

"Sure thing," Winter said, swiftly taking the pen from Jane, scribbling her signature, and then passing it to Ronald. He quickly did the same and stamped it with the official seal. "Done and dusted. Now, let's get down to business number two."

Ronald punched a number into his phone, and a few people filed in in no time. Winter spotted the producer, Ruby, and then Taylor, the screenwriter from Unchallenged Dominion. "Mr. Wells."
