The Cherished Wife

Chapter 685

"Aunt Clary, don't worry. I won't do anything to Charles. I just want all the women around him to disappear. Charles belongs to me, and the only person he'll marry is me!" J declared, her eyes gleaming with a determined smile.

She immediately posted the photos and videos from her phone anonymously on various video-sharing websites and forums.

In this digital age, even the slightest movement could trigger a chain reaction. Within just an hour, J's uploads had caught the attention of countlessizens.

The heated discussions spread like wildfire. Soon enough, the topic soared to the top of trending searches, completely blowing up.

J watched the chaos unfold online, grinning with satisfaction as she read the comments about Winter.

Meanwhile, Ronald quickly hacked into J's phone and computer, locking down her data and IP address.

Witnessing the massive uproar J managed to create within such a short time, Ronald gained a deeper understanding of just how dangerous women could be. Truly, one should never underestimate a woman's wrath, or it could end in disaster.

Ronald promptly reported his findings to Charles. "Mr. Hoffman, J has also been investigating Mrs. Hoffman. I'm afraid Mrs. Hoffman won't be able to return home with you for a while.

"Worse still, she got people to follow Mrs. Hoffman, so..." Although Ronald could not see Charles' face, he could instantly sense an overwhelming chill in the air.

Ronald could not help but shiver. "Mr. Hoffman? Are you there?"

"Continue," Charles replied. He held his phone with one hand while gently stroking Noelle's back with the other.

Seeing Noelle exhausted and sleeping soundly beside him, the cold air around him dissipated. He now had a warm smile on his face. "Go on. What else has J done?"

"When Winter returned to the airport,

she got swarmed by paparazzi, which caused quite a commotion. In the chaos, J's people made a move on Winter. Our team took action as well, and both sides captured plenty of photos and videos." Ronald smirked.

"J isn't entirely foolish. She knows how to use public opinion to strike at Winter. The online buzz is already off the charts, and Winter is in for a tough time. Should we intervene, Mr. Hoffman?"

Charles raised an eyebrow, a faint smile playing on his lips. "For now, let's stay put and see how they handle things."

"I understand, Mr. Hoffman," Ronald acknowledged. Watching from the sidelines and allowing J and Winter to clash would benefit Charles in the long run.

When both parties were weakened, he could step in, rendering them powerless. This strategy might even help gauge the limits of the Bakers through J's actions.

"Well then, I'll let you rest, Mr. Hoffman," Ronald said, feeling fortunate that he had not disturbed Charles at an inconvenient moment.

Still groggy with exhaustion, Noelle felt an itch on her back, as if something were lightly scratching her.

She swatted at it in her half-asleep

state. As she turned over andnovelbin

opened her eyes, she found Charles intense gaze fixed on her. Instantly awake, she instinctively scooted back and stared at him with wide eyes. "What are you doing? I'm so tired!"

"Nothing," Charles responded. He wrapped his long arm around her, pulling Noelle back into his embrace. Pressing his cool lips against her forehead, he kissed her softly. If

you're sleepy, just go back to sleep."
