Substitute for The Alpha King



Looking past him, Hannah saw Shawn holding a gun, the man turned around, looking at Shawn and smiling, his gun fell out from his hand, he was in pain and it was obvious that he was not going to survive. Shawn fired yet another shot at him, and he coughed out blood falling to the ground.

"You bastard, I should have gotten you rid of you the moment that I knew you were the one"novelbin

The man smiles and that makes Shawn more aggravated he is about to find another bullet when Hannah shakes her head seeing that the man is already dead, and there is nothing else he could do to them, it would be just a waste of bullet on him. he has made their life a living hell for so long and has been finally put down by Alpha Shawn, their Pack will know of his existence when the right time comes.

"Is he dead?" Mrs. Williams asked and Shawn walked over to the body, he examined the body and when he realized that the man was already dead he nodded his head.

"Yes he is dead, I can't believe he's the one who was doing all of this and to think that I know who he was and he was closer than anyone could think"

Hannah was confused, she seems to be the only one who was lost in all of this, for some reason Shawn knows who his enemy is, and it seems as though his mother knew him as well, but she does not know anyone since this was not her Pack. The crimson had been heard about from when she was back home, but then she had no business coming over to the Crimson moon so she stayed far away from it, it wasn't until she finally realised that her mate has come from that pack and so someday she will have to return there.

"You know who he is?"

"Of course, he used to be my bodyguard back when I used to live here, some time ago, he suddenly disappeared and we all thought that he had died" "Did something happen between you two?"

"He was caught stealing and so I had him reported to my father. He only punished him for a day and released him, and ever since then I haven't seen him again. it wasn't that he stole something that had no value, it was the fact that he took a life for no reason and he stole someone's mate”

"Is it even possible to still have a mate?" Hannah hasn't heard something like that before

"I think it is possible"

"I think we should go home" Mrs Williams trembled, she was still very much scared and Hannah went closer to her and held her hand, holding her tightly. Shawn looks at the both of them wondering when they became so close. however when he remembered what Hannah had done, he glared at her and she looked up at him, and shrugged.

"What is it that I have done?"

"How dare you do that when I told you not to go inside?"

"Your mother was inside, what would have had me do?"

"I told you to stay put, I will get there on time and what was that? you stood there and let him point a gun at you, did you ever think that his gun was loaded?"

"Of course I know that his gun was loaded he won't be carrying a toy gun or a water gun just to scare me, when he said he was going to shoot, I knew he meant every word he said, but then I don't think a simple bullet is going to kill me, and if it does I am sure the moon goddess will Grant me another life for me to come back to you"

"You are out of your mind"

"Is that what you tell me for trying to choose to stay by Your Side?"

"This is not about trying to stay by my side, this is about you trying to be reckless, you should have been more careful and you should have listened to me at least when I told you to❞

but I'm not sorry for standing in the way of him trying to kill your mother. if someone is to point a gun at my mother I will do the same to her, but then will you want me to stand back like a coward and watch him kill your mother, that is never going to happen, and I was intending to fight him even if he had a gun, you know me so well that I don't back down from a fight"

"That is the thing I know you so well and I know what you're capable of, but I also know what he's capable of, I saw what he did to my mother's driver and I have seen what he has done to others. he is terror"

"Well, he is dead now and there is no need for us to start arguing about him, we should celebrate that finally all of this is over and we can finally be at peace and rest for a day without thinking about what will happen and when he's going to attack anyone of us and hummus"

"Right now, I have sent the bodyguards to go capture the waiter and the manager has opened up to me as well, so it is only a matter of time before he is dead as well. however that does not mean that I'm not mad at you for what you did❞

"Shawn?" She whispered hoping

that he would look into his eyes and see that everything she had done was not just a mistake and she did not do it just to get on Mrs. Williams' good side as well, she saw someone in danger and she helped the person as. She will do that for anybody as well. " I did not do this just because she is your mother, I did this е because it is the right thing to do, and if anyone is to be in her place right now, I'll still do the same for them. I remember that one time those thugs came after me and I was fighting them. You of all people joined me and I had to stop you so that you wouldn't end up killing them. Have you forgotten that was what made us leave the small town that we lived in the first place, and moved to Garden City, that place became our home, and everyday of my life I will always remember what you did for me, so why can't do I do it for someone else who needs my help?"

"Because I don't want anything to happen to you, if anything happens to you I will lose my mind. I will die, don't you get it? you are my life Hannah but it seems as though you just don't realise that yet and that is why it's hurts'

“Shawn, I don't mean any of those things" she whispers, apologizing to him and hoping that he will listen to her, but then he shook his head and turned around walking away leaving them all alone. when she tries to chase after him Mrs. William held her hand.

"Let him be, he will come around, just give him a little more time and you will see that he will come back to you he's angry right now, but then it is just for a little while, come on let's get it cleaned up"

"I didn't mean for any of that"

"I know you don't have to explain to me, I am grateful for what you did for me and I hope you can call me mother"
