Chapter 27 The Evidence

The girl’s eyes lit up. She was excited.

Ainsley couldn’t help but smile, “It’s me. I didn’t expect that the professors would wait for me to come back and graduate.”

Her words stirred the crowd.

Especially the students of the Department of Psychology.

The entire department knew that there was a legendary student who was not only a straight-A student but was also unprecedentedly outstanding in practice. She was called a rare genius in the Psychology Department.

When the legendary student was about to quit school for some private reasons and said she wouldn’t come back, all the professors, including the dean, unanimously asked the school to allow her to take some time off.

They didn’t set a time limit for her break.

All the professors in the Department of Psychology seemed to tell her that they were willing to wait for her to come back.

When Ainsley recalled the past, she felt warm and touched.

The people started to gossip with excitement.

“So it’s her. My goodness. I was fortunate enough to read her thesis. It was a masterpiece.”RêAd lat𝙚St chapters at Novel(D)ra/ma.Org Only

“If Ms. Easton is the legendary student, she’s qualified to be a professional psychologist, let alone a mere university psychology teacher. Her talent and experience are outstanding. I heard that she worked with the police and cracked many cases.”

“Wow, I put her on a pedestal. I admire her, and now she’s my teacher. Since the professor showed us her paper, I’ve been hoping to see her in person. I didn’t know it was Ms. Easton…”

Seeing that Ainsley was getting an upper hand and everyone was looking at Ainsley with admiration, Kaitlin got angry and glared at the round-faced girl resentfully.

“Do you think she’s the legendary student? You’re blind. You have no evidence at all. You’re trying

to help Ainsley to pass for the legendary student.”

Kaitlin didn’t believe that Ainsley was the legendary student. She didn’t think highly of Ainsley.

If Ainsley had been so intelligent, she couldn’t have been so compliant with the Baldry family for

years.

The round-faced girl blushed and said indignantly, “Nonsense. I’m not lying. Ms. Easton is the legendary student.”

“Really?” Kaitlin said disapprovingly. “Show me the evidence.”

Ainsley did not say anything and glanced at Kaitlin.

It was not that she could not prove it, but she shouldn’t bother the teachers for such a ***woman as Kaitlin.

Kaitlin thought Ainsley didn’t have the evidence, so she said with a smirk, “What, can’t you prove it? You’re an impostor and try to bluff it out…”

“Who says she can’t prove it?”

Everyone heard a dignified and ***voice from behind. They looked back and saw a refined middle-aged man fixing his eyes on Ainsley.

“Oh my goodness! There he is.”

Someone gasped in the crowd.

The middle-aged man was Jack Miller, the deputy dean of the Psychological Department. He was worshipped by the students of the department because of his great personal charisma.

Jack went up to Ainsley and said with gratification, “You’re finally back. It’s been a long time.”

“Mr. Miller,” Ainsley called out softly.

Looking at the teacher she respected in the past, Ainsley could not help but feel rueful.

It was stupid of her to miss out on so many things for a marriage that was not worth it.

If she had not married into the Baldry family and wasted time on a man, things would have been much different for her.
