Chapter 7
Chapter 7 Sienna Charles
Jake’s fiancée? Gwen and Jake had gotten married in secret. That was why the people working in Hall Group only knew of her as his secretary. That meant the so–called fiancée was Sienna, right?
The moment Gwen decided to ask for a divorce, Sienna took it as her chance to show up at Hall Group as Jake’s fiancée.
In fact, she’d become a regular at Hall Manor in the near future. She’d sleep on the same bed Gwen had slept on, and she’d partake in various positions with Jake during copulation
That thought was enough to strike Gwen’s heart with pain. Still, she said as casually as she could, “Thanks.”
With that, she left the HR department’s office.
Jason just looked at Gwen’s retreating silhouette, a knowing glint in his eyes. Everyone could tell that Gwen was in love with Jake. It was no wonder she got fired.
After Jason turned on his computer, he made a snide comment. “Oh dear, I guess more juicy drama will be happening
soon.”

Once Gwen reached the CEO’s office level, she saw Cedar the moment she stepped out of the elevator.
“You’re here, Ms. Lawson.”
Cedar glanced at the suitcase Gwen was holding. He knew right away that she was here to retrieve her ID. Hence, he used the folder he was holding to point at the meeting room.
“I’ve given your ID to Mr. Hall. He’s still in a meeting. This is his third meeting so far. Are you in a hurry to retrieve. your ID? Do you need me to step into the meeting room and ask Mr. Hall to come out?”
“Oh. It’s fine.” Gwen sounded distant. “I’ll just wait here for him.”
“No problem. Would you like a cup of coffee then?
Cedar had a vague feeling that Jake had no plans to let Gwen quit. Gwen was responsible for many minuscule tasks in the company. Not to mention, she was in charge of many important projects too.
If she were to quit, it’d be difficult to find a suitable employee to take over her tasks in such short notice.
As such, Cedar was nicer to Gwen than before. “I just learned how to brew Turradian coffee by hand.”
“No, thank you.” Gwen wanted to sever all ties with Jake, so she was cold and aloof to the people working for him.
Since she had already taken her stance, Cedar didn’t say anything else after that. He entered the meeting room and passed the document to Jake.
When Gwen walked past the office area, she glanced in the meeting room’s direction. There was a small gap in the door, revealing a bunch of people inside the room. There weren’t any slots left at the table.
She could see the back of Jake’s head. His shoulders were broad enough to fill out the suit jacket. At the moment, he was listening to reports coming from the people sitting at both sides of the meeting table.
His side profite looked cold and aloof as usual. Occasionally, he’d open his mouth to speak. Whenever Jake was in a meeting, he’d always look very focused.
After Gwen ripped her gaze from Jake’s visage, she looked down at her drenched clothes. She was still dragging her suitcase behind her.
Even though she’d like nothing more than to barge into the meeting room, she felt that it was still inappropriate for
her to do so.
Then, Gwen looked at the CEO’s office once again. Although the door was made of frosted glass, she could still see a woman sitting on a chair in the office. Based on her appearance, she had to be Sienna, the woman she had seen at the

hospital.
If she were to enter the CEO’s office, she’d just humiliate herself even more.
Gwen decided to store her luggage somewhere safe before heading to the washroom. She turned on the tap and washed
her face.
It helped her calm down while allowing herself time to think about how she should confront Jake to get her ID back
“Ms. Lawson, you came to work late today.” An intern assistant happened to enter the bathroom to wash her hands. She took the liberty to speak with Gwen.
Gwen just hummed in response without explaining anything to the intern. Once the intern was gone, she pulled a few tissues from the tissue box in order to wipe her face clean. At the same time, she kept staring at her reflection in the mirror.
The last time she had traveled to Dornwick, her eldest brother, Henry Lawson had commented about how much weight she had lost. Back then, she had explained to him with a smile that she was on a diet.
Clearly, this marriage was extremely tormenting for her. Perhaps getting a divorce was the correct decision.
In Gwen’s haze, she noticed the bathroom door being opened once again. A beautiful woman walked into the bathroom. Her face was smooth and flawless, and she looked elegant and well–dressed. There was a little bump poking out of her belly.
The moment Gwen noticed Sienna, she felt extremely self–conscious for some reason. She quickly wiped her face clean and checked her appearance before turning to leave. NôvelDrama.Org owns this text.
“Hold on,” Sienna called out to Gwen. “I just heard that person calling you Ms. Lawson. You must be Jake’s secretary, right?”
Gwen froze up immediately. She could hear Sienna’s footsteps getting closer to her.
Soon, Sienna stopped in front of Gwen. She flashed the latter a tender smile. “Jake’s meeting should be over soon. Can you brew a cup of coffee and deliver it to the CEO’s office? You should know his coffee preferences, right?”
