Although Mr. Wolfe did not know why Liberty had visited, he hosted her with utmost care.

"I came late because I had something going on earlier," Caroline whispered.

She entered the VIP room and saw Liberty and her bodyguards sitting with a cup of tea in front of them.

None of them had touched the tea.

Upon seeing Caroline, Liberty smiled. "You didn't have to come over if you were busy. We could've talked over the phone."

Caroline grinned as well. "Something happened. Adrian came over to get my signature on a document just as I was heading out. He kept rambling and we had a call with our mom. That was why I was late. Sorry to keep you waiting."

"It's okay. It wasn't that long of a wait."

Liberty got up to greet Caroline and only sat after Caroline came closer.

Caroline told Mr. Wolfe to get back to work after he poured her a cup of tea.

Liberty also asked her bodyguards to leave. They did not need to watch over her in the room.

Soon, Liberty and Caroline were the only ones left in the VIP room.

Caroline said, "Do you want to talk in my office instead?"

"It won't make much of a difference. There aren't many people on this floor, and no one will come close as my bodyguards are outside. Besides, we aren't talking about the Fisher family's succession now. I just want to know how Adrian has been doing lately."

Liberty had traveled far to prevent people from knowing they were meeting in private again.

Caroline tacitly agreed to remain where they were.

She forwarded the evidence Darren had sent her to Liberty.

"Adrian has been busy with this lately. He doesn't show up in person, so looking for evidence was pretty difficult."

Liberty was not in a hurry to look at the evidence. She said, "It may be difficult for others, but probably a piece of cake for you. Mr. Fletcher is competent. I wish I could steal him for myself.

"However, I don't think that's possible. He only has eyes for you."

Liberty's words had implicit meanings.

Caroline understood Liberty's hidden meaning. She smiled and said, "I guess this is the sole advantage of being the Fisher family's matriarch or heir. We get to have a very competent assistant.

"If I leave, I'll take him with me and have him manage my business with me. Give us ten years, and we'll definitely impress the world."

"I don't think you need ten years. Three is more than enough. It hasn't been long since you started your business, right?"

After taking a sip of tea, Caroline

replied, "I've only thought of earning

money when I was studying. You can say that my business has started since then. It has been

Liberty laughed. "I think having Mr. Fletcher now is a great boost for you."

She drank half a cup of tea and started reading the evidence Caroline had sent her.

Darren was good at his job. The evidence he found was sufficient for Liberty to take action against Adrian.

"The people who tried to hit you were hired by Adrian. How do you plan to settle this? Give him a taste of his own medicine?"

compensate him. Hitting someone with a car intentionally to settle a personal grudge doesn't just require compensation, it's also illegal.

"My people and I don't wish to ruin our futures because of Adrian."

Although Liberty could hire someone to do it, she refused to go down that route.

"I'll keep the evidence for now. When Madam Fisher returns, I'll complain to her about this and leave it up to her on Adrian's punishment.
