Chapter 858 To Protect Her
Chapter 858 To Protect Her
Finn walked over to the bed, and said casually, "If you don't mind, you can sleep with me together, I'm
not that kind of man who will take advantage of you. But if you mind, get a blanket and sleep on the
floor."
After saying that, he got on the bed, and left half of the bed to her.
After a while, Finn heard Florrie going to the bed. She did not take a blanket away, and lay down on the
bed beside him with her clothes on.
Finn could feel her nervousness, which surprised him. During the day, she could be that close to him,
but now she was so afraid.
But Finn wouldn't do anything to her and said nothing.
The window had been broken, so even with the heater on, they could feel the cold wind blowing in. By
the next morning, both of them were clinging to each other to warm up themselves.
After Florrie woke up, Finn indeed didn't talk advantage of her as he said. Although they were hugging
each other, she didn't care about that. But she seemed to look worried.
Her movement to get up woke Finn, who looked over at her.
Florrie's hair was a little messy from a night's sleep, but she looked purer as she didn't wear a makeup.
Finn then asked, "How's your injury? Does it hurt?"
Florrie came in last night with her hand covering her chest, so she should have suffered internal
injuries.
Hearing his words, Florrie shook her head and said, "It's not serious. It will be fine after a few days of
rest. The day has broken, and I'll leave after a while." Exclusive © material by Nô(/v)elDrama.Org.
Finn did not answer, and watched Florrie went into the bathroom to wash up. A few moments later, she
came out. Her hair had been neatly tidied, but she still looked a bit haggard.
She spoke to Finn, "Thank you, Mr. Feng, for keeping me here last night. I have to go now."
With that, she walked towards the door.
Finn knew that if she met Cloud again, she wouldn't escape the disaster. Although he didn't know what
exactly happened between her and Cloud, he knew Cloud wouldn't let Florrie go so easily.
The door was opened. If Finn said something to stay her, she would agree, but until the door was
closed again, Finn didn't say a word.
In Finn's mind, Florrie's business had nothing to do with him.
When Florrie left, Finn got up and went to Yuer's room.
Finn was afraid that what happened to Yuer yesterday would scare her, but when Yuer opened the door
and saw Finn, she muttered in resentment, "Why wake me up so early? I was sleeping well."
It was already seven o'clock, but Yuer still felt sleepy. She scratched her head, making her messy hair
even messier.
Finn said helplessly, "Well, go to sleep."
Then Yuer went back to sleep.
He headed to the town to see what else he had to buy.
The town was always busy. In the early morning, old men and women came to the park to exercise.
Some were practicing swords, some were practicing on the horizontal bar, and some were stretching
themselves. They looked old, but they looked stronger and healthier than the young.
Finn felt it very comfortable. He sat down on a bench in the park and watched the people in the park.
But his leisure was spoiled by someone.
A man wearing a mask and hat sat down next to Finn. At first Finn didn't notice him, but the man
spoke, "Mr. Feng, someone had me take a message for him."
Finn froze at first, then realized that the man was saying to him. Finn only used this pseudonym in front
of Florrie, so he immediately understood that the man was sent by Florrie.
"What is it?"
Finn could feel that the man did not want his identity to be known, so he asked in a lower voice.
"Before I tell you, that person asked me to ask you a question."
Finn frowned slightly. He didn't like troublesome things.
After Florrie left Finn, she had nowhere to go for the time being. If she returned to that forest, she was
bound to be caught by Cloud, so she went to her friend's.
It was not very far from the hotel where Finn lived, but she did not dare to go to the front door to get a
ride, so she quietly climbed out of toilet window to get a cab.
At her friend's, a woman of her same age smiled lightly and approached Florrie with two glasses of
Baileys.
"I really have no choice but to hide here for the moment. I'll leave when things calm down a bit."
The woman had long black hair, bright eyes, red lips and white teeth. She smiled at Florrie and said,
"Don't say so. You can stay here as long as you want."
Handing the wine to Florrie, she sat down on the sofa beside Florrie. Taking a sip of the wine, she
asked, "What happened to make you so wretched?"
Florrie looked sad and she was upset at the thought of what she had encountered. "I can't help it. I met
someone I can't afford to mess with."
The black-haired woman, however, laughed, "A woman as clever as you are will meet someone you
can't be messed with? But the ones you are messing with now are also troublesome. Look how they
end up with now."
"Don't laugh at me. If I were really clever as you say, I wouldn't have been forced to hide here.
However, I did not expect the man would be so angry. But I deserve it. So now I can only hide from
him."
After saying that, Florrie tiredly lay down in the woman's arms, and let out a long sigh.
"It's great that you can let me stay here."
The woman laughed lightly, "I'm not as capable as you are. If the man really comes to my door, I'll give
you away."
When Florrie heard this, she pretended to be angry and said, "How dare you!"
The woman stroked Florrie's smooth hair and said, "I'm just a weak woman, not as able as you are in
dealing with these big shots. But who did you mess with? Could it be the Lee family of Wild Wolf?"
It seemed that Wild Wolf was very scary. The woman trembled a bit as she mentioned the name. She
looked at Florrie, afraid that the latter would nod.
