Chapter 220: Identity Reveal
Giselle's POV
The grand hall fell into silence when the massive wooden doors swung open, revealing a vision in crimson.
A woman glided into the room, the scarlet silk of her gown cascading around her like molten fire.
Every head turned in rapt attention, the guests utterly transfixed by her captivating presence.
The woman whom I still haven't recognized moved with a regal, almost otherworldly gaze, her every step fluid and purposeful.
The guests in the hall stood up transfixed; they had already forgotten about the Alpha lineage of the Shadowfang Pack. Their attention is now focused on the woman who has just arrived.Exclusive content from NôvelDrama.Org.
There was an undeniable aura of power that seemed to emanate from this woman, commanding the attention of all who laid eyes upon her as she carried herself with poise and confidence as if she had descended from the heavens above to grace us mortals surrounding her.
Who is this person? How come I haven't met her before? I, who had no interest in this ceremony whatsoever, leaned forward to steal a glimpse at the woman's familiar features.
Curiosity piqued me in the face of the woman's mesmerizing arrival. Time seemed to slow to a crawl as she neared the front seats, towards where we were until I got a full glimpse of her face.
A cold chill ran down my spine, and I felt the blood drain from my face. Gripping the delicate lace of my gown, I was suddenly awash with a whirlwind of emotions.
This couldn't be! How come that woman is actually Astrid?!
I stared at Astrid with wide eyes, hoping that my eyes were playing tricks on me. I blinked my eyes to clear them, but when I opened them, I saw Astrid staring right through me, her eyes devoid of any emotions.
Before I could close my mouth, which was hanging open in shock, Astrid turned her gaze away and stared forward at the people standing on stage.
I instinctively glanced at Killian to see his reaction. Just like me, the shock was written all across his face.
His eyes intently followed Astrid's every step until she had arrived on stage.
Jealousy burned inside of me when I saw the depth in Killian's eyes as she stared at Astrid. The pools of his eyes held deep emotions as he stared at her.
Killian never gazed at me the way he is gazing at her right now. Not only is he the only person gazing at Astrid with such intensity. Even the other guests in the room were also mesmerized by her.
My eyes narrowed, my gaze burning into Astrid's statuesque figure. I felt infuriated by the aura of power radiating off her and her confidence, which had captivated everyone's attention.
How was it possible that she could effortlessly captivate an entire room when I had always struggled to command even a fraction of that presence?
The Astrid that I know is just a woman whose presence was always disregarded. Astrid is just a nobody. A pure-blooded omega who doesn't know her place.
What if she's wearing such a beautiful gown? That doesn't change her disgusting status and how weak she is.
I could only seethe in silence as I watched the guests succumb to her mesmerizing spell. Once they realize that she's just a weak omega

I steeled myself when Astrid finally arrived in front. Her gaze swept across the room, landing on the person beside me.
A searing rage ignited within me when Astrid's piercing gaze landed on Killian.
I watched in helpless fury as Astrid's eyes lingered on my husband, drinking in his handsome features with an intensity that made my skin crawl.
Her crimson lips curved into a subtle smile, a gesture that seemed to convey a familiarity between them.
I felt Killian's muscles tighten beside me. He had turned stiff and tense, holding in his bated breath.
Just an intense stare from Astrid and a small smile from her is enough to push him to the edge of his wits.
A scream threatened to tear from my lips, but I swallowed it down, my nails biting into the delicate flesh of my palms.
What is Astrid doing? How dare she create this unspoken connection, excluding me, who is just standing right beside my husband? "Honored guests," Alpha Theron's commanding voice suddenly cut through the charged silence. "I have an announcement to make." Alpha Theron's gaze swept across the assembly, his expression inscrutable. Astrid glanced at him with a small smile on her face.
"It is with great pride and joy that I introduce to you all my long-lost daughter, Astrid," Alpha Theron declared, a barely perceptible smile tugging at the corners of his mouth.
The grand hall erupted in a collective gasp. The guests' previous awe and fascination with Astrid are now tinged with newfound fear and respect.
I felt the whole world crush around
me as my heart hammered inside my chest. Long-lost daughter? How could this be? There must be a mistake! Astrid is a pure-blooded omega. She doesn't even have a trace of Alpha blood in her
The grand hall was abuzz with whispered conversation as the guests exchanged furtive glances and hushed rumors.
Some were questioning Astrid's true identity, while others were filled with fear since they helped spread false rumors that Astrid was Alpha Theron's mistress.
