LUKE's POV: "Dude,"

I was stopped from opening the door of my car when I heard Dale's voice behind me. I closed it with a heavy sigh before turning to him.

"What happened?" he asked, patting me on the shoulder.

"She didn't believe me," I replied, letting out another long, deep sigh.

"She didn't--- but why? Do you want me to talk to her?"

"No, bro, thanks, but no, please, I don't want her to get a wrong impression when you talk to her because she might for sure ask why so suddenly you turned to my side." I hardly shook my head as I talk to him. "Ohh... so you mean, you didn't tell her the truth that you had an accident in Saudi Arabia and you stayed in the hospital for almost a month, so you haven't been able to call her for the past few months?" "No," I shook my head again.

Actually, he too was so mad at me when he saw me get out of my car and he almost killed me as he choked me to death earlier. I just had to tell him the truth because I wasn't ready to die without seeing his sister. "But why? She also has the right to know the truth, especially now she thought that you cheated on her!"

"I know, but I don't want her to worry, Dale! I have to fix this f**cking mess first and find the persons involved and after that, I will tell her everything."novelbin

"So, you will just let her mad at you and think that you really cheated on her again?"

"Yes, I will have to endure her wrath and see her in tears for a while, so she wouldn't worry about this matter. I still have no idea where that article came from so, I think it's better to be this way. The less information she has, the fewer worries I have to carry around as I sort everything out.

"You know your sister, Dale, and you know how stubborn sometimes she can be. She won't stop until she finds out everything and I don't want her to worry about it anymore. So, I have to ask you a favor..."

"Oh, come on, I think I already knew that favor! You're going to ask me not to tell her what happened to you in Saudi Arabia, am I right?"

"Yes, you're right, but I wasn't referring to your sister because I know you won't really tell her about it."

"Huh?"

"I'm actually going to ask you to please don't tell your wife too as we both know they are best friends---"

"Whoa! Luke Marcuz, dude--- you can ask me everything, just please don't ask me to lie to my wife! Haha... you know Jack very well, don't you?"

"Jesus Christ!" I couldn't help but laugh at his reaction. "I'm not asking you to lie, I'm just asking you to keep it a secret for a while, that's just it! It's not lying and come on, of course, I know Jack and she won't eat you alive for keeping her the truth!" "Ahh... hahaha... my wife sometimes can be wifezilla!"

And that made me burst into laughter but suddenly stopped when gave me a death glare.

"Please Dale, this would be the last thing I will ask you, I promise,"

He stared at me for a few seconds before taking a deep sigh.

"Fine, but make sure to finish everything as soon as possible because I don't know and I can't promise how long I can hold it!"

"Thanks, dude," I said, giving him a brotherly hug.

"Just keep me updated,"

"Yeah, I will, thanks,"

I took a deep breath before finally opening the car door. I honestly don't know how long it will take me to fix this mess, but I won't be coming back here until the persons involved paid for what they have done and everything is sorted out.

SAM's POV:

"Did you even give him the chance to speak?" Jack questioned the moment she walked into my room that night with her baby in her arms.

I put down the book I was reading and smiled at the sight of the little girl.

"I did," I replied shortly. "I let him talk like what you told me."

"Okay, then what happened? I saw him with walked out of the house with his shoulders down." she sat down at the edge of the bed after putting Ashley down. "Don't tell me you broke up with him?" "Nope," I shook my head. "I just told him to stay away from me."

"Oh, my God! Why did you do that?" the look in her eyes showed dismay and confusion at the same time.

"Because I felt something was off from the words he said, I don't know but he seemed to be hiding something," "What do you mean--- you didn't believe him?"

I took a long, deep breath before I started explaining.

"I did, in fact, I believed everything that he said, but..." I paused as I took another sigh.

"But?"

"But I felt like there was something he wasn't telling me and that's what I want to hear from him, but he just left."

"So, what exactly did he tell you, I mean, how did he explain those pictures?"

"He said they were all lies... edited... and he had no idea where Lucy got those pictures."

"Hmm... Well, based on the things you've told me about that woman, I know she is the type that won't do any good. A total bitch! And I won't no longer doubt if Luke finds out that

"Yeah, somehow I believe that idea but it's too much if even the article in the newspaper in Saudi is still hers."

"Dale told me about it, maybe it could be one of his business competitors who wanted him down or it could be one of the mischievous paparazzi who just wanted a great article for that famous model! And since they were both single..."

She paused and looked at me, maybe she had realized something...

"I mean, they didn't know Luke Marcuz Williams is no longer a bachelor, so they thought they would make a great pair and... tada! A click bite!"

"You haven't changed, your imagination is still wild!" I uttered, but deep inside I realized that what she said could be true. And I suddenly remember Dana told me the exact thing before, it's just that I was still in a lot of pain at that time, so no matter how much they comfort me, I didn't take it seriously.

"But anyway, what does he plan to do? Did he tell you? How is he going to fix this mess?"

"I don't know," I shrugged. "Maybe he will start with his bitch of an employee!"

I just chuckled at her as I imagined having her next to me at that moment.

"I'm just glad Cali doesn't know about this yet, you know, what's going on with you and Luke... again!" she emphasized the word again.

"I purposely didn't tell her about it. I don't want this matter to affect her and her studies."

"Well, you're right on that matter." But then she fell into silence as she stared at me for a few seconds. "What will you do when Luke proves his innocence and that those things aren't really true? Our story has had so many ups and downs ever since we started being together. We have also experienced many twists and turns in our journey, so when things like this happen, my heart seems to react so quickly.
