Read My Past is Just Prologue By Louisa Dillon Chapter 28 – Wait in Line

Nathaniel had previously suspected that she planned that one–night stand. He thought she was just

someone who planned to marry into a rich family by being pregnant with his baby. However, if she was

Ms. Juliana, why would she do it?

A cold and magnetic questioning voice sounded, and the heavy words “three years ago” made her stop

suddenly, and she

turned her head to stare at his stern face.

During these three years, she had taken care of him with all her heart and given her everything to him.

Now she chose to leave him and fulfilled him and his childhood sweetheart, which was the last thing

she did for him. What else did he want?

As if she had been in a movie, she quickly flashed everything she had experienced during the three

years of her marriage to Nathaniel through her mind, and her bright eyes mocked herself

contemptuously. Didn’t she do enough for him? He already had something else. Why would he come to

pester her again?

Was it too ridiculous to ask her now?

“Sir, I don’t understand a single word you said.” She widened her beautiful water eyes, and the

mockery in her eyes amplified silently, “I don’t even know you, and I don’t know what you’re talking

about.”

Her face was extremely cold, and she shook off his hand..

Nathaniel frowned and pulled her harder, “I don’t have time to play with you. You approached me three

years ago. Why?”

Janet was tightly strangled by him, and she couldn’t move even though she wanted to leave.

He narrowed his eyes and looked at the woman in front of him, who was completely different from

before. She was so stubborn and cold that people couldn’t get close to her.

Janet was wearing a simple and capable professional suit today. The exquisite suit outlined her perfect

figure, and the light

brown coat covered her body casually. She looked fashionable and seductive.

Every time she appeared, she could give him a variety of changes.

But no matter what kind of look, it was not what she looked like when she was his ex–wife.

In the past, Janet always wore monotonous outfits in black or white, wearing skirts that only passed

below the knees. She always wore a low ponytail, looking like a gentle housewife.

She made him feel so strange today that he even felt that he had never really known her before.

The more he thought about what had happened recently, his complexion became more and more

unsightly. In addition, het was rejected again, and a wave of raging anger surged into his chest.

Geordie, who was a bystander, didn’t want to interfere in her private affairs at first, but he saw that

Nathaniel’s face became

more and more ugly. After all, Nathaniel was the one who was sorry for Janet first, and Geordie was

afraid that he would harm her again.

So he walked towards Nathaniel, stood between Nathaniel and Janet, and protected her behind him.

He looked left and right and decided to act as a superficial peacemaker, “It’s not impossible to have a

meeting with President Longfellow, Mr. Webster, but you just need to take a number first.”

Mr. Webster wanted to see his wife and still had to take a number?

Alfred standing on the side was very confused, and his eyes widened.

Geordie called the front desk of the company immediately. “Go get an appointment slip and give it to

Mr. Webster.”

“Yes, sir.” The front desk staff complied.

The staff brought the appointment slip and handed it to Nathaniel politely and respectfully.

“Mr. Webster, please take one.” After all, Geordie was older than Janet and had more experience than

her, so he talked to Nathaniel in the most respectful manner.

Looking at the appointment slip, Nathaniel frowned, thinking about when he had ever received such

treatment.

No, not once.

But Janet was too abnormal after divorcing him. In order to know more about his transformed ex–wife,

he endured it.

His face was cold and serious, following Geordie’s plan.

They received a notification from the system soon, and Geordie pretended to take a serious look at the

results. Then, he gave Nathaniel a number plate with an apologetic face, “Mr. Webster, I’m really sorry.

Your appointment number for meeting Miss. Longfellow has been scheduled for six years later.”

“Please bring your number plate to visit Miss. Longfellow again in six years.‘

F

Nathaniel, who had been humiliated, looked at the number handed over, and his face was cold. He felt

a deep sense of shame.

Alfred opened his mouth even more in shock, on the side.

They asked Mr. Webster to wait in line and take a number. Now they were actually asking him to come

back in six years!

Mr. Webster must feel miserable. He just wanted to see his ex–wife, and why was it so difficult?

Nathaniel didn’t say a word out of anger.

If he couldn’t see her today, he would just leave. What a big deal! He took the initiative to come to see Nôvel(D)rama.Org's content.

her, but she prevaricated

him with a number plate.

As if sensing that the surrounding temperature around him was a bit cold, Alfred stood behind

Nathaniel and said cautiously, “Mr. Webster, what should we do next?”

Janet was afraid that she couldn’t help but feel bad for him, so she avoided the sight of Nathaniel and

looked to the other side calmly, with a bit of coldness in her tone.

“In this case, sir, please go back.”

When had Nathaniel suffered such disregard?

“Janet, you’d better think clearly. Don’t beg me to see you then.”

Janet was silent for a few seconds, then suddenly burst into a smile. She lightly pulled a strand of hair

behind her ear, “This gentleman is a bit too arrogant, not to mention that the Longfellow Group never

needs to ask for help, even if there is something happens, I’m afraid…”

She glanced at him lightly, and “stabbed” him without hesitation.

“We have to wait six years.“
