Chapter 994
The arcade was filled with the sounds of scuffling, panicked cries, and the dull thuds of bodies hitting the floor.
The leader of the gang was now pinned to the ground. “Mercy!”
He managed to crane his neck and finally got a good look at Marion’s face. “Mr. Houston? Please, have mercy, Mr. Houston.”
Marion nudged the man’s face with the toe of his boot.
“West Dock?”
“Yes, sir. We’re from West Dock.”
“Which hand of yours touched my wife?”
“Your wife?”
The leader of the gang paled when he saw Marion embracing Debra.
He stammered, “No, I didn’t get to…”
Before he could finish, he felt a sharp glance cut through him.
Marion ordered, “Take him away and slap him until he can’t speak.”
“Yes, sir.” His men swiftly dragged the man away.
Debra pointed to the punk who had just harassed Liza. “Bring him here and let Miss Eaton deal with him.”
“Yes, ma’am.” Marion’s men brought the punk before Liza.
Debra smiled, “Miss Eaton, didn’t you say you wanted to chop off his hand? I have a knife. right here for you.
Seeing the dagger hidden in Debra’s sleeve, Garland exclaimed, “You have a knife? Why didn’t you take it out earlier?”
“If I had taken it out earlier, would you have been able to take on ten men by yourself?”
“Well, that’s an exaggeration.”
At least, he wouldn’t have had to back down in front of these scumbags.
Debra turned back to Liza, handing her the dagger. “Here you go, Miss Eaton. He’s all yours. Do whatever you want.”
Liza looked at the knife, hesitating. She was angry, but she hadn’t really intended to maim novelbin
anyone.
She bit her lip and said, “I don’t want to see blood. Maybe you guys should handle this.”
Debra knew Liza wouldn’t go through with it. She signaled to Marion’s men, and they quickly dragged the punk away.
“Alright, spill it,” Debra said. “What brings you here so late at night?”
Liza glanced at Garland. “I was following my brother. He snuck out late at night, so I wanted to see where he was going.”
“You followed me? How did you even track me
“GPS. I installed it in your car. It even has a real–time video. Pretty impressive, huh?” Garland was livid. “I’m not your boyfriend. Why are you tracking me?”
“Because you’ve been acting weird ever since you snuck off here,” Liza shot back. “I was curious.”
Debra caught the crucial detail. “Snuck off here?”
Garland sweated under her scrutiny and groaned inwardly, ‘Juan, where are you? I can’t handle this.”
