Chapter 3
Chapter 003 Two moguls Shiveport.
It was already night when Veromca picked Annette and Wancy up.
"Annette, Wancy, you are eventually here!"
Veromca was too excited to stop his hands from shaking.
He would almost stoop to hold the hand of this mogul for her way.
Annette stuck her hands inside the pockets of her black coat, saying quietly to Veromca, "You don't have to be so hospitable."
"Oh no.
It's my honor to have you here.
And sorry I have to bother you for that intractable matter."
Veromca said modestly.
All Veromca’s subordinates just couldn't believe their eyes when they saw their commissioner himself opened the car door for Annette.
Who on earth was this lady that should have deserved their head's service like that? She looked barely like an adult.
How could she be able to solve a problem which they themselves found too tough to tackle? Annette nodded to Veromca.
"Rest assured."
She then got into the car with Wancy.
Veromca's domicile was a garden house in the city center majestically guarded by a high and heavy iron door.
A servant opened the door.
"We've arrived."Once again, Veromca opened the door for them in person, and showed them the way.
Wancy carried the black backpack which was too large for his body, following Annette who was walking with slack steps while playing games on the phone.
He looked like a poor little one being maltreated.
Veromca couldn't bear such a scene.
"Wancy, do you mind if I carry it for you?"
Wancy waved his hand and replied with great pride, "No, thanks.
It is my honor to carry things for Annette.
"
Veromcea couldn't help laughing, casting a look at Annette who didn’t even turn her head round.Pulling up the straps of the over-sized backpack, Wancy hurried up to catch up with his sister.
In the living room.
Willow, Veromca’'s wife, rose to welcome these guests as she caught their sight.
"So you are back."
Willow helped Veromca take off his coat while greeting Annette with an unnatural expression.
"Miss Gonzalez."
Annette raised her eyes from the phone screen and made a posture of smiling. Contentt bel0ngs to N0ve/lDrâ/ma.O(r)g!
"Mrs Lancaster."
However delicate her face was, the air of wickedness could not be covered, Her beautifully shaped mouth wore a smile which vaguely demonstrated a wicked and merciless heart.
Willow had already got Annette investigated.
This was a delinquent juvenile who did nothing but scuffling and skipping classes.
The only one thing she might be proud of was her extremely beautiful face.
She just couldn't figure out why her husband would get acquainted with such a person and even bring her home! What if she had bad effects on Daisy and Chris? Veromca didn't notice the discontent in his wife’s eyes.
He tucked up his sleeves and said to Annette, "It’s too late tonight.
You may go to rest with Wancy now.
Let's talk about the matter tomorrow"
Making a headshot to her rival in the mobile game, Annette gave Veromca a perfunctory yes.
The guest room was on the third floor.
Everything they might need being available, it must have been carefully and considerately prepared.
Considering Wancy's age, Veromca had set two beds in the room for a more convenient condition.
After brining them upstairs, Veromca asked, "Just let me know whatever you need.
Don't hesitate."
Now Annette had finally finished her game.
She threw the phone onto the bed and asked in a languorous tone, "When will Wancy's matter be arranged?"
"What? What has it got to do with me?"
Wancy looked totally at loss.
Veromca ruffled his curly hair.
"He’s too young, so the procedure may take more time.
It should be all wrapped up just in one day or two."
Wancy lost the interest in this question since no one seemed to bother to give him the answer. He crossed his legs and started playing the phone with fast moving fingers.
"Alright, then let’s talk about your matter when you've got my brother’s done."
Annette said.
Veromca took a big gasp.
"Hey, Annette, you don't trust me? You think I'm gonna cheat you?"
Turning back with an expressionless look, Annette placed the laptop on the table from the backpack.
She then pulled out the chair and sat on it in a posture just like a mogul.
Wancy must have learnt the manner from her.
So impudent!
