Master of his heart (Brielle and Max)

Chapter 1187

Myles survived the landslide, but not without a price. His legs, lost to a previous torture, left him confined to a wheelchair for the rest of his life.

Arthur wasn't completely clued in on the organization's inner workings. The group's main job was to supply the royal family with pharmaceuticals, and Irene made sure he stayed in the dark about the rest.

Arthur's team had pulled Myles from the debris-Myles, a top-tier hypnotist. The initial plan was to eliminate him until they discovered his connection to the Saudi King. As it turned out, Myles was the King's body double. Quite the twist. Just a day earlier, Myles had dropped a bombshell: the King was actually Max, the CEO of DreamTech Designs, battling dissociative identity disorder, and tangled in a mess with Brielle.

Arthur gave him a cold, hard stare. "Spill it. Everything you know."

Myles, wrapped in bandages and stuck in his wheelchair, was seething with hatred for his current state. It was all because of the King. If he hadn't been chosen as the King's double, he wouldn't be in this mess, a shadow of his former self. "Prince Arthur, when I first took on the role of the King's double, my feelings for Brielle were all mixed up. Brielle had the King's child, the one always by his side, but he thought she'd thrown the baby in the trash. That wasn't true." He said this with a hint of pride.

The King had been in a coma for a month, completely unaware of what was happening. Joseph had handed Brielle's matters to Myles, giving him room to maneuver.

Right after Brielle gave birth, he told her, "Ms. Brielle, since you've tried countless times to terminate this pregnancy, he'll grant your wish. Someone will come to take the child and drown it. Don't blame him for being heartless. If you hadn't tried to escape at every turn, he wouldn't be so furious."

Brielle was extremely weak post-delivery. Her health had always been frail, and pregnancy took a massive toll on her. The delivery left her emaciated, her eyes large and pitiful on her delicate face. This is from NôvelDrama.Org.

I felt a pang of sympathy. She couldn't believe what she was hearing. The King wanted to drown her child? Impossible. That was her child, borne of so much suffering. He had no right. "No! Don't hurt him!"

But she was too weak, collapsing to the floor as soon as she tried to get out of bed. The child was taken from her sight, carried into the bathroom of the secluded hospital room, arranged by the King, complete with a bath.

After the child was taken in, all she heard was the sound of water and a faint infant cry.

Myles had planned for the child not to survive, but the executing doctor, moved by compassion, merely immersed the child in warm water for a while. After a few minutes, the child was brought out, declared dead. Brielle kneeled by the hospital bed, watching this unfold, voiceless, unable to even scream. Her child was disposed of in front of her, thrown into the trash, and another nurse took the trash can away.

Myles later took care of the nurse, paying off her husband's gambling debts and sending her off to Africa, among other things.

How could Brielle not hate the King after witnessing all this? If the King were before her then, she would have likely killed him herself.

Then Myles brought the news to the King that Brielle had disposed of the child. The King hurried over, retrieving the child from the trash. The child hadn't died; it was Myles's mistake that ironically saved him.

Following this, with the King in a coma and feeling utterly defeated, he ordered Brielle to be sent away. The child's situation made it clear to him; unrequited love remained just that Even with all his efforts and desires to win her over, he couldn't make a mark in her heart,

After deciding to send Brielle away, the King fell into a coma. Loyal Joseph took both the child and the woman back to the castle to ensure the King's safety, leaving all matters concerning Brielle in Myles's hands.

Myles was over the moon, seeing it as a divine opportunity.
