It Comes In Three's

Chapter 130

Chapter 130

Lottie’s POV

– Roughly 2 Years Later –

The sun shone brightly in the sky, casting a warm and golden glow over the beautifully decorated garden. Property belongs to Nôvel(D)r/ama.Org.

It had been two years since our lives were filled with chaos and danger, and now, we were finally celebrating our daughter Ella’s first birthday!

As Ella toddled around the garden, her bright green eyes filled with wonder, as she looked up at everyone with a bright toothless smile.

I couldn’t help but smile at the sight of her amongst our friends…

She was the light of all of our lives at this point, the sweetest little girl, and she had captured the hearts of everyone that had ever met her thus far.

She had my heart wrapped around her tiny little finger, and she most definitely had her father’s wrapped around it too.

I follow Ella, as she babbles and runs around – seeing one of her playgroup friends splashing around in the outdoor ball pit.

Her eyes light up, as she watches her friend have fun, before her tiny face turns around – spotting the snacks table once again.

Uh oh…

“Ella, sweetheart, you’ve had enough sweets for now darling!” I giggle and tell her, bending down to pick her up gently before she can grab a handful of candy…

But as soon as I lift her, she turns around in my arms before her eyes land on Alex across the garden, her arms instantly stretching out for him as she

whines.

Alex spots her instantly, as Jace and Del laugh at her growing temper – something she quite clearly inherited from her Dad – before he approaches us.

Alex takes her from my arms with a chuckle, as she instantly stops fussing in his arms – her little face pleading up at him for more treats as she points down towards the candy table,

Alex chuckles, his eyes softening as he looks down at our daughter in his arms. “Of course you can have more, my princess. Just one!” Alex bargains, picking up one thing – handing her the small cupcake with a smile.

Of course he caves in again!

I roll my eyes playfully and lightly slap his arm. “Spoiling her, as always, even when I say no!” I tease, earning a grin from Alex who shrugs and watches Ella cover her face in icing.

“She’s my little girl, I can’t help it,” He defends, before using his free hand to pull me into a loving embrace.

“She’s mine too!” I reason, as he laughs loudly.

“Looks wise… yes… temper wise… she’s all mine!” Alex argues, as we both laugh at the truth behind the statement.

As the party continued on, Ella was ecstatic to see her Auntie Anna arrive with a bag full of wrapped up toys for her to open.

I laugh at the sight, finding amusement in watching Anna bend down to Ellas eye level – helping her rip off the paper to each one- as they both clap in excitement for each gift.

Anna was looking incredible, now two months away from her own due date, with her and Kev also now expecting a baby boy… which we couldn’t wait

for!

The party entertainer arrives, dressed as one of the Disney princesses, as all of the kids dance around with her to music and enjoy themselves.

The adults take this as their time to properly catch up with one another.

I sit down at the table with Alex, Anna, Jace, Del, Kev, Aunt Rinna, and Erik who had all came to celebrate Ella today.

“How did your trip to the station go?” Alex questions Del, as we all chuckle knowingly – watching him roll his eyes and scoff.

Del then fills us in on Clara, his crazy ex–girlfriend, who he had only been granted a restraining order against for up to one whole year at a time.

“I had to go all the way down there just to renew the restraining order against her! Which by the way, ended up being way more paperwork than I thought!” He explains with a groan, frustration

evident in his voice. “I’m not taking any chances when that one though, she’s still nuts!” Del concludes, as everyone chuckles.

I nodded in understanding of his situation, feeling grateful that we had managed to keep our lives free from any further threats or drama.

Tommy, Jason, and Holden remained in prison, serving their sentences for the terrible deeds they had committed in the past.

Justice had been served, and we finally felt a sense of closure and peace now as we all move on with our lives and continue to grow up…

We then joke around about Jace’s new ‘girlfriend‘ placing our bets on how it will end up… will she be normal, or totally crazy? It was too early to tell just yet but the bets amongst our group is on, since anything could happen knowing our luck!

Amidst the laughter and joy, and as the party entertainer finishes up her hour with the kids, we stand from our position to collect Ella – who hasn’t stopped smiling and dancing.

Anna picks her up, as she babbles and laughs at her silly auntie who pulls funny faces at her to keep her amused…

Alex suddenly gathers everyone together on the grass for an announcement, as I turn to him expectantly – thinking he had gotten Ella another surprise!

As he stood in the center of the garden, he smiles at me, and my heart skips a beat. I seriously just loved everything about this man…

“Today, as we celebrate our little Ella’s first birthday, I first want to thank you all for coming! You have made our girls day all the more special!” Alex begins; as everyone claps at his words – Ella also joining in as we chuckle.

“But with that being said everyone, I want to make another memory today, one that our family can cherish forever,” Alex continues, his voice steady as I smile in anticipation.

What trick does he have up his sleeve this time?!

“Lottie, from the moment I met you, my life changed in ways I could never have imagined. You brought love, happiness, and a sense of home into my life for the first time in a long time.” Alex turns to me, catching me fully off guard as my cheeks heat slightly with the audience.

My eyes fill with tears as I listen to his heartfelt words, blushing brightly. I had never felt more loved and cherished than I did with Alex by my side…

“Being with you and Ella has made me realize what truly matters in life,” He continues… “You are my everything, and I want to spend the rest of my life with you. So, Lottie, my love…” Alex trails off, reaching into his side pocket before making his way down…

“Will you do me the honor of becoming my wife?” He pulls out a box, revealing the most stunning ring, as my heart hammers inside of my chest.

I did not expect any of this today!

My hand flies up to my mouth, and tears instantly stream down my cheeks watching him get down on one knee.

“Yes! Oh my God, yes!” I exclaim, my voice trembling with emotion as the seriousness of the moment hits me.

This was actually happening!

The crowd erupts into loud cheers, whistles and applause as Alex stands to slip the ring on my finger.

I throw my arms around him, holding him close as we share a passionate kiss next, sealing the special moment forever…

“I love you so much, Lottie, Alex whispers into my ear, his eyes glistening with sheer happiness and contentment – mirroring my own.

“I love you too, Alex,” I reply, tears of joy streaming down my face as he chuckles and wipes them away with the pad of his thumb. “You’ve made me the happiest woman in the world.” I admit.

As our friends and family gather around us, showering us with love and congratulations, I couldn’t help but feel overwhelmed with gratitude. We had come so far from the darkness that once plagued our lives, and now, we were surrounded by love, happiness, and a promising future.

Our journey had been filled with twists and turns, but it had led us to this beautiful moment, where Alex and I were ready to take on whatever life had in store for us, hand in hand, as soon to be – husband and wife.

And so, as the sun set on Ella’s first birthday party, we basked in the love and joy that filled the air, knowing that our love story was only just beginning. With our little family together, our friends by our side, and the promise of an incredible future together, we knew that we were truly blessed at this moment in our lives.

As we looked out at the sunset, I couldn’t help but think about the winding road that had led us here, to this moment of pure happiness. Life had thrown challenges our way, but together, Alex and I had faced them all, and now, we were stronger than ever.

With love in our hearts and hope for the future, we were ready to embrace the next chapter of our lives, knowing that as long as we had each other, we could conquer anything.

And so, our journey continued, filled with love, laughter, and the promise of a lifetime together. With our daughter Ella in our arms and the love of our friends and family surrounding us, we stepped into the future hand in hand, ready to face whatever adventures life had in store.

We did it!

The End.
