How I Remarry My Ex-Wife by Alvin Humphre

Chapter 55

Chapter 55

Hearing Finnegan’s words, Whitney was a little moved.

She suddenly remembered that people always cared how high you could fly, but few cared if you were tired. Finnegan was the latter.

Of course, it was all Whitney’s own choice. There was no need for her to work. She could spend as much money as she wanted, travel around, and live a carefree life that most people envied.

However, she chose this road. It was thorny and difficult. Only she knew it.

From the beginning to now, it was tough for Whitney to build a studio. She once thought about giving up, but when she thought of Thiago and Quincey, she could only grit her teeth and persist

Now was the most important and difficult period for the studio, No matter what, she couldn’t give up.

She was thankful to Finnegan for his words but remained firm in her thoughts.

“Mr. Hall…” she called out.

“What are you doing to

o Winnie?” Just as Whitney was about to speak, a sudden force pulled her away from Finnegan.

Whitney knew it was Jonah from the sound of his voice.

Jonah pulled Whitney behind him and looked at Finnegan coldly, like a hen protecting her chick.

“Mr. Gardner, I think you misunderstood. I didn’t do anything to Whitney. Finnegan didn’t get angry but explained in a gentlemanly way.

However, even so, the hostility in Jonah’s eyes did not dissipate but only worsened.

The man in front of him was the one who sent Whitney home last time, and it was him again this time. Obviously, he had ulterior motives against Whitney, so Jonah wouldn’t allow him to get close to Whitney no matter what.

*Jonah, you misunderstood. If it weren’t for Mr. Hall, I would have been bullied by Thiago,” Whitney clarified.

Whitney briefly told Jonah what had happened before. Hearing this, Jonah’s expression became even worse.

“Are you

you okay, Winnie?” Jonah looked at Whitney, trying to see something unusual about her.

Seeing Whitney shake her head, he was worried. He gritted his teeth and said, “It’s Thiago again. What does he want? He’s persistent,” he said unwillingly before turning to look at Finnegan.

“I misunderstood you just now. I’m really sorry,” Jonah apologized.

Finnegan smiled. “We are all doing this for Whitney’s good. There is no need to apologize. I feel at ease when she has friends like you by her

side.”

Finnegan accentuated the word “friend“.

Whitney didn’t see anything wrong with that

But to Jonah’s ears, that was something else.

“That’s

a must, so I don’t want Winnie to have any unsavory friends.” Jonah refused to be outdone.

Finnegan just shrugged and said, “I agree with you.”

The two seemed to have reconciled, but in fact, they were secretly quarreling with each other. However, Whitney had no clue at all.

“Winnie, you’re drunk. 1 et me drive you home.” Finnegan ignored Jonah and turned his attention to Whitney.

“You’re drunk. How can you drive her home?” Jonah interrupted, looking at Whitney as well.

Whitney curled her lips and said to Finnegan, “Mr. Hall, you’d better go back and discuss it with the person in charge. Jonah is here for something. He can send me home.”

Seeing Whitney make a choice, Finnegan’s eyes flashed a hint of disappointment, but it passed quickly and went noticed.

“Okay, don’t worry about it. We will do our best!” Then Finnegan turned and walked toward the private room.

In the car, Whitney kept squinting because she was a little drunk.

She asked, “How did you find me here? Is anything wrong?”

After knowing each other for so many years, Whitney knew a lot

lot about Jonah, so she knew he had something to ask her.

Jonah smacked his forehead and said, “Look at me. I have such a bad memory now. I came to tell you about the charity event….” NôvelDrama.Org: owner of this content.

After hearing Jonah’s words, Whitney sighed deeply. Now she didn’t have the time and mood to care about it. The studio was about to faill

“Winnie, what the hell is going on about the plagiarism incident? It seems to be very serious.” Seeing Whitney’s sad face, Jonah was a little curious and worried.

So Whitney told Jonah everything that had happened since noon.

“I think you have done a good job in this matter, and I also believe that you didn’t do it. But Lester is suspicious, so we should investigate him,” As Jonah drove the car, he analyzed it and said clearly.

ver be him.”

But Whitney bit her lower lip slightly, shook her head, and said firmly, “It’s not Lester. I believe it will never

Jonah wanted to say something more, but seeing Whitney’s firm attitude, he stopped.

For a moment, it was very quiet in the car, and only their breathing could be heard.

Whitney might be drunk or tired, so she closed her eyes and seemed to fall asleep.

Jonah looked at Whitney from the corner of his eye, and his heart pounded wildly.

From the first day he knew her, that was how he felt, and that had never changed.

It seemed that his heart was beating only for the woman in front of him.

But then Whitney married another man. Jonah was sad, but he wished her well

Now that Whitney was divorced, he had been given another chance, but he was always afraid they would be friends.

Looking at Whitney’s exquisite face, Jonah really wanted to touch or kiss her.

Of course, he soon threw his nasty thoughts out of his mind, but he still looked at Whitney from time to time.

13:18 Mon, 24 Jun

Alone time with her was always short. Even if Jonah was driving very slowly, he still could not change the distance.

Jonah really wanted to pick up Whitney on his bike, just as men often do in romantic movies.

At the very least, riding a motorcycle was extremely cool.

“Have we arrived?” Whitney seemed to have a navigation system installed on her. As soon as she arrived at the destination, she woke up.

“Well, here we are. I’ll walk you up.” Jonah gently unbuckled Whitney’s seat belt and got out of the car.

It was already late at night, and there was no one in the elevator. Right now, Jonah really hoped that the elevator would malfunction and lock him and Whitney inside. Unfortunately, the elevator stopped smoothly at the designated floor.

“We’re here. You can go back now. It’s too late!” Although he was tired, Whitney knew that he would stay up late again for the new design

scheme.

“Winnie, I want to remind you. Stay away from Finnegan in the future. He is not a good person!” warned Jonah.
