Chapter 33 Margaret As Stephanie's Stand-In
Stephanie was so angry that she gritted her teeth. She didn't know what had happened to her today,
but she had repeatedly failed to perform well.
The choreography was very difficult. It was a traditional dance, and she needed to dance gracefully
with the aura of a lily.
Stephanie remembered the steps, but according to the dance instructor, she looked as rigid and lifeless
as a robot. She just couldn't breathe life into her dance.
"Lets just call in a stand-in then," The director sighed. There was no other way.
"But the figure of the stand-in needs to be similar to Stephanie's, right?" The dance instructor asked.
They could adjust the camera works and the editing, but the figure needs to look just like Stephanie's.
This was a blockbuster. It would be played on the big screens, so they couldn't afford any obvious
slipups.
As she listened to the conversation between the two, Stephanie said, to vent her anger, "Why don't you
let Margaret be my stand-in? Her figure is quite similar to mine." Content is © by NôvelDrama.Org.
Indeed, both of them were slender. Margaret was 168cm-tall while Stephanie was 166cm. The height
difference was hardly noticeable.
"We could try that." The director nodded and called Margaret over.
Margaret was still dressed in beggar's clothing. When the dance instruction saw her, she could not help
but let out a sigh.
God, she already had to teach a block of wood how to dance. Did she have to do the same this time
round but with a wood block that's dirtier?
In the end, the dance instructor accepted her fate and began to teach Margaret the dance sequences.
To her pleasant surprise, Margaret was sharp and learned how to dance in a very short time.
Moreover, Margaret immediately understood it when the instructor explained Queenie's character and
essence to her. Even though she was dressed in a beggar's clothing, she pulled off the innocent and
pure look like a piece of a cake.
"This is amazing. You're a natural. You're so much better than Stephanie. She's basically trash." The
dance instructor couldn't help but admit it to Margaret.
As she was a national dance instructor specially invited by the crew, she was not afraid to express her
honest opinions even in Stephanie's presence.
Margaret curled her lips and peeked at Stephanie, only to see that Stephanie's face had gone very
pale. She was clearly in a bad mood.
"Really? Maybe it was because I picked up dancing as a child, but I actually haven't practiced it for
years." Margaret said to the dance instructor. In the past, she was raised as a noble young lady. But
after her mother passed on, she was driven out of the Simons family. If it weren't for that person, she
would've died in Milesburg. So, she obviously didn't have time for dancing.
Stephanie felt that Margaret's words were meant to poke at her. As a child, Stephanie already knew
that she was William's daughter. However, William was too weak and gutless to recognize her as his
child when his first wife was still alive. So, she only began to learn of the upper-class etiquette after
Margaret's mother's death.
Though she was hardworking, her actions, habits and aura were still far from refined as compared to
other rich and noble young ladies.
The director asked Margaret to put on Queenie's costume and began to shoot the dance scene. They
placed a cluster of lilies in front of the camera to keep Margaret's face hidden and to only capture her
dance movements. The result was amazing.
The only problem was that people would think that it was Stephanie who was dancing.
After finishing the dance, Margaret went off to change her clothes. Others went on a break while the
assistant director sort out the filmed scenes.
Margaret was the only person in the locker room. She let her sleek dress slide off her torso, revealing
her snow-white skin. Just when she was about to put on her red suit, a tall figure suddenly embraced
her from behind.
"Who is it?" Margaret's senses were alerted, and she turned around.
