Over at the Schuler estate, Brandon was pacing back and forth, waiting for news that never came. His heart sank with each passing minute. He had sent top-notch fighters; surely, Carly, Jacob, and Abby couldn't have posed a real threat to them. There shouldn't have been any surprises.

"Dad!" Zavier burst in, looking worried. "Did you send people after Flora?"

"What are you talking about?" Ava chimed in, clearly displeased. "How can one Flora have you so rattled? Your sister's still stuck in the Enforcement Division, and your dad's just trying to get some justice for us."

Ava continued, "Besides, Flora isn't even a Martial Artist. The people your dad sent are top-tier; they could squash her like a bug."
