Chapter 10: Crush
Inside the clothes shop
Allyce was sitting on the sofa with a magazine in her hand, but her gaze seemed to wander a little.
In the last four years of living abroad I had deliberately not followed Enzo’s news or seen him, but in this case I did not expect to see him again.
Knowing that Senona had become her fiancée made her feel very self-conscious and only in secret.
I had heard that they were soon to be married.
The saleswoman approached her, bowed slightly and said respectfully: “Madam, your husband has changed his clothes, what do you think of that?
The saleswomen were smart. They know that women are very demanding. When they see couples buying clothes together, they have to please the customer who comes with the man. If the customer is happy and satisfied, the man will buy the clothes, no matter how expensive they are, because the man likes to maintain his public image.
“Um, okay …” Allyce looked back and when she looked up she saw Severo standing in front of the mirror looking at her.
He seems to be very fond of black. The first time she saw him, she saw him wearing black. Today, he was still wearing a black shirt. Even his choice of clothes was a black shirt.ConTEent bel0ngs to Nôv(e)lD/rama(.)Org .
Severo is very tall; he is estimated to be about 190 cm. He was made for clothes and looked good in anything he wore.
“How about this shirt?” At first, Severo tried to go and change, but he noticed that she was staring at him, so he asked.
Allyce also realised that she had been staring at him for a long time and replied dismissively: “Well, okay …. Maybe we’d better change the colour.
Looking around, he looked for a white one: “Would you like to try a white one? .
Severo frowned slightly, but took the dress and entered the fitting room anyway.
As soon as the fitting room door closed, Allyce sighed in relief and stepped back, but before she was fully relieved, she was pulled out by Enzo who burst in.
Enzo dragged her into an unoccupied corridor and then let go of her hand. Full of disappointment, he said, “Allyce, when did you become like this?”
“What did Senona tell you?”
When Allyce heard the words, she could tell what Senona had said.
His face suddenly paled at the thought of what had happened a few days ago.
At times, he was very curious about Senona – why did he like to work against her? He was already more popular than her, both within the Delahoz family and outside it.
Enzo frowned in disgust: “Senona is your sister, she cares about you, why can’t you understand her?
“Does she care about me?” Allyce couldn’t help but laugh at herself, “Yes she does care about me, she’s always trying to torment me and you just believe her!”.
“Allyce!” said Enzo, getting a little angry too. Allyce was a very obedient child when she was little, so why did she become stubborn when she grew up?
Allyce suddenly felt sad, why had she been in love with Enzo for so many years?
“She said I stole money from the family, and you believed her! She said she had a miscarriage, and you believed her! You believed everything she said, so why did you come to me when you already had a trial in your mind?”
He remembered Severo’s look that time when he angrily ripped off the reporter’s camera compared to Enzo’s cold stare now, and suddenly he didn’t like Enzo very much anymore.
“You …” Enzo couldn’t get a word out. He just whispered to explain himself, “Senona has been kind and innocent since she was a child, she doesn’t lie, and I’m sure you won’t be like your father …..”
“Shut up!” Allyce was shaking with rage.
It turned out that this was the reason Enzo had decided to trust Senona.
As he had a father in prison, he would have unconditionally believed Senona’s word, no matter how much she had set him up, rather than choosing to believe it.
The facts bear this out.
Enzo also realises that he has said something that cannot be undone, but his upbringing makes it impossible for him to apologise. All he could do was to continue saying cheekily: “In fact, if it wasn’t for your father, I would …”.
“Mr. Aybar.
