Chapter 1212
Aurora looked incredibly sorrowful, completely unlike someone who was acting. Theodore, for a moment, didn't know whether he should believe her or not.
When Rosalie had first told him, he had only defended Aurora, completely ignoring Angie.
Now, with Aurora telling him that it was Angie who killed Rebecca, Theodore couldn't be 100% certain that Aurora was not involved in this matter.
It felt like a layer of mist had been added, blurring his vision and preventing him from seeing clearly.
After a long while, Theodore released Aurora.
"Get better first," he said, turning to leave.
Suddenly, he heard some movement behind him. Turning around, he saw Aurora stumbling toward the window in the ward. She forcefully pulled open the window and jumped straight down.
Theodore's brows tightened, and with rocket-like speed, he rushed forward. He grabbed her from behind and pulled her back from the window ledge. "What are you doing?!"
"Theo, let me die! I don't want to live anymore. Just pretend I killed your grandmother. I'm responsible for this, so let me die. I really... I can't live with this guilt anymore!"
"Aurora, don't do this!" Theodore pressed her down onto the bed.
"Theo, I know how important Grandma was to you, but I can't turn back time. Even if I didn't do it, Angie is related to me. You must hate me. I'd rather die than be hated by you!"
"Aurora, are you crazy?" Theodore pressed her down firmly. "If you didn't do it, why would I hate you? Or do you feel guilty and are trying to gain my sympathy by doing this?"
"I'm not. I just can't live with the guilt. I'm sorry. If my actions make you think I feel guilty, then from now on, I'll do nothing. You can investigate, and if this is really related to me, I'll face it openly."
Aurora seemed to understand the situation well and knew how to change her approach at any moment.
Theodore released her. "Stop trying to kill yourself. If you keep doing this, I won't care about you anymore."

"I'll get to the bottom of this. As for Angie, I won't believe everything she says. I know what kind of person she is, but I'll investigate you too." With that, Theodore left the room.
By now, Steve could already stand up. He tried to lift his leg and take a step forward. Rosalie reached

"Justin, look! Steve can stand now!" She immediately wanted to share this good news with Justin.
Justin came out of the kitchen and saw Steve. He was both surprised and happy. "Looks like it won't be long before our Steve can walk."
Hearing Justin say "our Steve," Rosalie's smile stiffened for a moment, and she seemed a little awkward. She avoided his gaze.
Justin also realized that his words might not have been appropriate.
Just then, Steve took two steps forward and plopped down on the floor with a thud.
Justin quickly stepped forward and lifted him.

Just then, the doorbell rang.
"I'll go answer the door," Justin said.
Rosalie nodded, picking up the toys scattered on the floor.
Justin opened the door, and there stood Theodore. The two men exchanged a glance, and the atmosphere grew extremely cold. Looking at Justin holding Steve, Theodore felt his heart clench involuntarily. They looked like father and son, alright. "You're still here," was Theodore's first remark.
Justin didn't respond immediately. Rosalie walked over, saying, "What does it have to do with you? What are you doing here?"
