Awake At Dawn: eight years ago 3

It took me approximately thirty-eight seconds after his sister walked through the door to realize that Julian was not stressed about her coming to visit.Têxt © NôvelDrama.Org.

No, the reason he’d paced the living room for the better part of the afternoon had to be almost entirely attributed to the girl who came with his sister.

I had no idea what her name was, but her hair was pulled up into a high ponytail, tied with a bow, and it swished dramatically as she snapped back at everything Julian had to say.

I couldn’t help but grin at whatever was going on. I’d never seen anyone give Julian a run for his money like this. No fucking wonder he’d been stressing. I momentarily wondered who she was and why his sister had brought her but then decided I wasn’t going to spend too long trying to figure it out. Not when I could be using Julian’s preoccupation to my advantage.

Because while he was squaring off with the brunette, his sister was standing idly to the side, looking slightly out of place. And if Julian wasn’t going to do it, I’d happily be the one to make her feel right at home.
