Chapter 58: Spark i

Chapter 58: Spark i

“Yes darling! You should taste it real quick. Come on!” Kate replied her and held her to the seat.

“That should have been my place Kate. Don’t steal her away from me.” Andre said aloud, a bit jealous.

Anita froze at his statement.

What did he mean? She smiled.

Kate eyes widened in shock coupled with admiration.

“Are you trying to ask her out or something? Just go straight to the point. As you can see, Anita is such a beautiful girl. She ain’t need no hype!” Kate praised.

Anita blushed.

It had been long she felt this way. She had really missed a lot.

She got so emotional that she hurriedly stood up and hugged Kate.

“Thank you!” she whispered.

“You are always so emotional. Enjoy your meal girl.” Kate replied and sat next to her to eat.

The two men just watched them as they stood.

Each of them admired whom they like as they smiled.

“Come join us! The food on the table is excess. We can’t eat them alone.” Anita welcomed them.

Kate agreed as she made a hand gesture while nodding her head.

After the dinner, they sat on the couch in the living room as they watched the news.

Soon, news about Kate during officer Liam appeared on screen.

It was then Kate realized that she had not told Anita about what happened earlier.

“Thomas was here earlier.”

“What?” Anita jumped from where she sat.

“Calm down anita, I am perfectly fine.”

She then narrated everything that happened from the beginning to the point when he got shot and had to leave.

It was terrifying to listen to, but Anita had to hear it because she deserved to.

Taking a deep breath, she adjusted her self and laid on the couch to have some cool rest.

She was sick and tired of Thomas.

He had not seen her for days only for him to appear to cause trouble for her.

It made her felt to bad that she felt like crying. Sitting up, she walked into her room.

When Kate noticed that Anita had just walked in, she followed immediately.

When they got into the bedroom, just as expected, Anita busted out crying.

“Anita don’t cry. Everything will be alright.”This content is © NôvelDrama.Org.

“Why not Kate. What did I ever do to deserve this from Thomas. I didn’t commit any crime.”

“I know. He is just bad.”

“I don’t know, if I am ever going to come out of his shell.”

“You will dear and soon.”

Kate then bent down and allowed Anita cry on her shoulders.

This was one moment she hated the most. She hates seeing Anita in this position.

That bastard would pay!

Andre left when he saw that Anita would be retiring to bed soon.

He then ordered Cass to remain with them.

He agreed. He wanted to anyway!

So he called a driver that drove him to his own apartment.

That same night at Liam’s apartment, he stood at the top of the roof as he sipped his wine in the glass he was with.

His brain felt like it was rotating. He was indeed restless. He couldn’t get what was really going on.

The Kate he used to know had turned to something completely different. He couldn’t control the one he once knew.

He had been randomly going through the files sent to him from the higher ups when his peers walked up to him with their phone in hand.

They had actually saw his scandal before him. If they hadn’t told him, how would he find out knowing fully well that he was not an internet type.

His image was at stake. The image his team had been fighting for. He felt bad. He wanted to murder Kate, but how dare him?

If something happened to Kate at that moment, the authorities and the public will hold him responsible for it and things may even turn out worse.

Sipping his head, he tried to drink away his sorrow, but the drink. tasted bitter in his mouth. Without hesitation, he spat out the drink and smashed the cup on the floor in anger.

After that, he walked out of the roof top and walked down into his room.

That night was so restless for him that at some point he took his phone and tried to reach Kate, but realized that she had blocked him everywhere.

Not long after, his phone rang.

Thinking that Kate might be reaching out to him, he quickly picked up the phone call, but instead of hearing Kate’s tone, he heard the sound of a man that followed with scolding.

“Right from the beginning of our union, we had agreed to be very competent which everyone had abide by except you, so you must be very stupid and useless to think that you will implicate our team. How could you even dare use a drug on a woman after knowing fully well that we forbid it?”

Liam felt intense headache all over his head as he held his head in pain. “Lord Lin. It was just for experiment. I had never given her the impression that I used it on her. I am sorry I sold myself out like that, but I think we can sort this out.” he said, almost stuttering.

“Sort? You think it’s that easy? So let’s leave the drugging aside, how about the confession of her seeing drugs in your house? Even in your room. What about that?” Lord Lin screamed in anger. If not for one thing, he would have taken liam out of the surface of the earth in a split second, because he was a stain to them at the moment. But he wouldn’t. He didn’t want to raise any suspicion.

The best thing was to leave everything and everyone as it is while they look for a way out.

“I’m sorry Lord Lin. I have learnt my lessons.”
