Chapter 38 Diana and Jessica
Chapter 38 Diana and Jessica
It was getting dark. The staff of SKY Group left one by one. Only Judson, stood in the dim light of the
streetlamp, watching Diana leaving, without saying a word.
He wanted to be with Diana. He wanted to run after her. But somehow, when he saw her, he just stood
still…
…
Jessica didn’t go to Judson’s house tonight, instead, she slept in her school.
“What’s wrong? Did you cry?” Taylor asked with concern when she saw Jessica’s red eyes.
Jessica shook her head and said, “Nothing, I’m fine. I just want to have a rest…”
Jessica didn’t feel like talking and she just couldn’t figure it out. Why they just refused to get back
together since they all loved each other? She saw they both cry…
But she also felt sympathy for Judson. He barely ate anything this month and lose at least 7 pounds.
Besides that, there was mounting businesses for him to handle. Now all his staff knew that he was an
indifferent workaholic. He cared nothing but his work.
…
Wandering alone on the road, Judson felt painful and sorrow.
He stopped at a place where nobody was there and began to hit the pole until his fists were covered
with blood…
And then, he ran wildly down the road towards the outskirts. It was midnight when he reached there.
No one was there. Judson shouted desperately…
“Why still came to me after we broke up? Why? Why? Why?”
“I worked so hard so that I can stop thinking about you. I tried so hard only to forget you. Why did you
show up again? Why?”
“I have already given up my love for you. Why did you come back to me at this moment? Why?”
…
Jessica thought a lot and felt asleep very late.
She didn’t wake up until 10 o’clock the next day. She rushed to SKY Group and at the gate, she found
there was a middle-aged woman asking about someone from the security guard.
“I am looking for Judson. He is my son-in-law. But his phone is power off. My daughter is sick. Can you
help me to find him?” Sally begged the security guard.
“I’m sorry. There are so many staff here. How can I manage to find one person for you? I am afraid that
you have to wait here by yourself…” That security guard shrugged his shoulders.
Jessica stopped when she heard who this middle-aged woman was looking for. She turned to Sally and
asked, “Excuse me, are you looking for Judson who just started working one month ago?”
Sally was surprised and turned around to look at Jessica. It suddenly occurred to her that this beautiful
girl in white shirts and jeans was the one who is with Judson that night.
There were mixed feelings in her heart after she recognized Jessica. Sally looked Jessica up and down
and found that she was beautiful and lovely, no less good than her daughter. Sally felt hopeless when
she thought of these. She nodded her head but could not utter a word.
Before she came here, she knew that a person like Judson would not worry about finding a girlfriend. It
was very possible that he had found a new girlfriend in SKY City. And this was what she worried the
most…

Sally took a deep look at Jessica. She dressed appropriately and was very polite. It was obvious that
she was a good girl. Sally wondered that would she separate the lovers again? No. Even though she
was not afraid that Judson would be mad at her, she worried that he would take it out on Diana…
Sally decided to think it over later, so she turned away.
Seeing Sally was about to leave, Jessica said to her urgently, “Hey, why are you looking for my
brother? May I help you? I can find him…” Jessica felt that this woman with a melancholy look before
her seemed to be laden with anxiety.
Sally trembled when she heard what Jessica said. She turned around after taking a few steps. There
were tears in her eyes. She grabbed Jessica’s hands and said, “You said that Judson was your brother,
right?”
Jessica stared at Sally and then nodded, her big eyes flashing, “Yes, he is my brother. What’s wrong?”
Sally took a deep breath and then asked in doubt, “He is not your boyfriend?”
Jessica felt down and replied wistfully, “No, he is not. He is my brother. He will never find a new
girlfriend. He is still deeply in love with his former wife. He just cannot forget her. But why you ask me
this? It is strange… And you look familiar. Are you the one who stood with that sister last night?”
Jessica opened her mouth wide, pointing to Sally with a puzzled look.
Sally replied in tears, “Yes. I am her mother. We are there to look for Judson last night…”
Jessica was close to tears. She asked, “Where did you go last night? I tried to catch up but failed. My
brother misses her very much. I wonder she might mistake me as my brother’s girlfriend. Where is she
now? Can you bring me to her?” Jessica cried.
Sally nodded heavily, “Ok. Thank you very much. You are such a kind girl. Follow me, I’ll bring you to
Diana…”
Sally talked a lot with Jessica along the way and she kept apologizing for what she had done to Judson
before. She was remorseful…
…
Wearing her black pajamas, Diana sat up against the bedhead in the hotel. The dustbin on the ground
was full of tissues used either for weeping tears or blowing noes.
Diana just sat there in a trance, doing nothing. In her mind flashed the moments they were together. He
picked her up; he bought her medicine and made hot soup for her; he took all the housework; he spent
the whole night taking care of her…
The longer they separated from each other, the more she missed him. After a month, finally she saw
him again last night, only to find that he already had someone for company.
Although she could not have a clear view, Diana still could tell that that girl was pretty, lively, and
energetic. And She smiled a lot.
Diana said to herself, “Maybe that kind of girl is the one you are looking for. I wish you happiness…”
Diana decided to leave SKY City. Since she had seen Judson and known that he got a girlfriend, she
had to stop dreaming. She didn’t want to show up and then destroy his life again…
The door opened at this moment. The next moment, the girl who grabbed Judson’s arms last night
stepped in…
